Scotts Miracle-Gro will not be pursuing pest control businesses like it did last year, Columbus Business First reports. In October 2014, Scotts announced it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Evansville, Ind.-based Action Pest Control (a $15 million company), but comments made by the company during Wednesday's call with analysts suggest it is unlike to make similar moves in 2015.
Scotts CEO Jim Hagedorn said the company is focusing more on other growth initiatives that aren't as costly like indoor and urban gardening.
