SARASOTA, Fla. — Environmental Pest Service has established a strategic partnership with State Pest Control, establishing its first branch locations in North Carolina.
Environmental Pest Service, which already offers services to customers in Florida and Georgia, closed the deal on Feb. 1, which will add approximately $3.2 million in annual revenues.
State Pest Control will keep its name in the market, while pursuing a growth strategy that leverages the strength of the State Pest Control brand.
Wes Wooten, owner of State Pest Control, will join the Environmental Pest Service team as Vice President of Operations for North Carolina, along with 45 State Pest Control employees based at branches in the central North Carolina cities of Clinton, Fayetteville, Sanford, Wendell and Dunn.
“Wes has built a strong company and we are excited to work with him,” said Joe Finney, CEO of Environmental Pest Service. “He shares our company’s goal of growing through high customer retention and quality strategic partnerships, and these shared values were very important to us in making the decision to expand our presence into North Carolina.”
Environmental Pest Service has merged with more than 79 companies since 2010, including 16 mergers in 2015. The organization’s growth strategy is based on expanding through mergers and acquisitions, while also fostering organic growth by maintaining high levels of customer service and employee retention.
“I am extremely fortunate to partner with an organization that shares State Pest Control’s commitment to our customers and employees,” said Wooten. “EPS has a team of extremely talented people and I’m excited to see what we can all learn from each other.”
In 2015, Environmental Pest Service was ranked No. 22 on Pest Control Technology’s “Top 100” list, an annual listing of the nation’s largest pest control companies ranked by revenues. Of the 100 largest pest control companies on the list, Environmental Pest Service was the fastest growing company in the nation with revenue growth of 162 percent over the previous year.
