Whitmire Micro-Gen

Whitmire Micro-Gen introduces FastOut CS Foam, the first microencapsulated foam product with non-repellent activity on the market, the company said. FastOut CS Foam is ideal for professionals seeking a fast-acting, ready-to-use foam for termites and 34 other insects, Whitmire Micro-Gen reports.

FastOut CS Foam works in voids in and around homes and commercial institutions, including food-handling areas. The foam’s consistency fills hard-to-reach spaces and leaves a blanket of microcapsules for long-lasting control of a broad spectrum of pests ranging from bed bugs to ants to Asian lady beetles, the company said. Microencapsulation creates a non-repellent effect, reduces mammalian toxicity and extends the foam’s residual properties, according to Whitmire Micro-Gen. The microcapsules attach themselves to pests and are transferred to other insects. FastOut CS Foam is sold in a 20-ounce can, six cans per case.

Syngenta Professional Products
www.chooseyourdemand.com

From Syngenta Professional Products, Demand G granule insecticide with Active Release technology has been granted a supplemental label approving use for six additional target pests and expanding lawn and perimeter application options.

The new label expands Demand G control to a total of 30 target pests, including cockroaches, fleas, ticks, European crane flies, palmetto bugs and waterbugs. Additionally, it allows for application without watering in granules — reducing a step in the perimeter application process — and eliminates a restriction on the number of applications per year.

Demand G with Active Release technology features a unique formulation process that infuses the active ingredient into the carrier, so the insecticide is more readily available off the granule, the company said, increasing the area of treated surface. The formulation is non-staining and easy to apply.

Grabbit Tool Company
www.grabbittool.com

Grabbit Tool Company has developed a family of products that allow tarp users to manage tarps and protect property in new ways. With this product, pest management professionals are no longer obligated to use grommets, according to the manufacturer.

Offered in three sizes (20-inch Long Grabbit, 6-inch EZ Grabbit and 1.5-inch Mini Grabbit), Grabbits allow PCOs to mount tarps to structures, seam multiple tarps together, replace torn grommets and firmly and reliably grab tarps anywhere — all in seconds.

Place the “dogbone” piece precisely where you want to grab the tarp, roll the tarp around the dogbone and slide the sleeve over the dogbone. A tug on a leader rope engages the two pieces together, trapping the tarp and creating a high-strength hold. The dogbone also can be screw-mounted to an exterior wall, fence or vehicle, allowing instant cover area for equipment and supplies. Grabbits work with any pliable fabric, the company said, and are available at hardware stores.

Termite Detection Systems

Termites produce carbon dioxide from their digestion of wood. The CO2 Termite Detector from Termite Detection Systems does not give any false readings, works instantly and only detects active termites, the company said. Some of the company’s new technology in carbon dioxide detection is an innovative infrared absorption sensing cell, which is selective to carbon dioxide. According to the company, the new Termite Detection System is less expensive, faster and more sensitive than previous systems. TDS units are simple to use and require no special training. The unit alerts the pest management professional if there are termites present in the walls, under a slab or any space and then will pinpoint the main infestation, the company said.

H.D. Hudson Sprayers

H.D. Hudson’s efficient power sprayer features a unique, closed liquid system with powerful diaphragm pump; two-piece suction and agitation discharge pipes; and a 5-horsepower Honda engine, adjustable for volume and pressure. A 5-foot hose connected to both suction and discharge ends allows easier cleaning and flushing of spray gun and wand. The closed system keeps material in-line between jobs. The sprayer includes a pump, spray gun with 18-inch straight spray wand and a 30-inch curved wand, two TeeJet brass nozzle assemblies, and 25 feet of spray hose. It easily attaches to a 55-gallon drum or 5-gallon bucket, the company said.

Rockwell Labs Ltd

InVade Bio Foam Hot Spot is a 16-ounce aerosol can containing the same blend of soil-derived microbes, natural citrus oil and foaming agent as InVade Bio Foam. The 360-degree valve allows PCOs to dispense the foam in any orientation and to easily hit hard-to-reach areas, the company said. It’s perfect for quick jobs without having to use your foamer, and is great as an add-on sale item, the company said.

Extech Data Systems
www.extech.com

Extech Data Systems’ 2-inch, battery-operated thermal printers assist in field service applications. When paired with mobile computers, Extech’s printers increase efficiency and accuracy, streamline basic functions like billing, and save a significant amount of time and money, the company said. The Extech 2-inch portable printers are IEC 68 certified for environmental suitability and boast a small, lightweight design, rugged composition and impressive battery performance, the company said. The printers weigh less than 1 pound, including battery, and can be worn on a belt.

Technicians can input the details of a call into the handheld computer and produce an instant receipt for the customer, with information on the work carried out and any payment due. This solution leaves little room for human error, which often can result when documenting credit card numbers by hand. The mobile computing solution is faster, more accurate and more professional than paper-based systems, the company said.

HomeGuard Distributors
www.homeguarddistributors.com

HomeGuard Distributors’ new termite baiting system, called Truth, is now available for pest management professionals in 30 states. The system also can be purchased exclusively from Residex.

Pest management professionals place the Truth bait cartridge into HomeGuard’s termite bait monitors after removing the corrugated cellulose matrix from the existing stations. The active ingredient for this new baiting system will still be diflubenzuron at 0.25 percent, the company said.

HomeGuard’s termite baiting system will cast the same exaggerated thermal shadow as the patented HomeGuard Termite Monitors, which can attract thousands of termites to stations, the company said.
