RedMax
www.redmax.com

With a maximum pressure of 150 psi and weighing 13 pounds, the RedMax BM40S four-gallon backpack sprayer was designed for the most demanding commercial users. Features like a 20-inch, adjustable brass wand, adjustable brass nozzle and a completely sealed piston design allow pest management professionals to use aggressive chemicals without leakage problems.

The large pouring mouth prevents overfilling, and reduces the possibility of wet, uncomfortable and unsafe chemicals soaking the straps, the company said. The BM40S features a strainer to prevent clogging; no tools are needed when cleaning the strainer. The sprayer also includes a one-year commercial warranty.

RodoTrak
www.rodotrak.com

The RodoTrak rodent detection and tracking product uses a set of baited rodent detection stations to attract rodents, such as mice, rats, flying squirrels, chipmunks and almost any small rodent. These stations are loaded with non-toxic fluorescent powder that will coat their bodies for tracking using an ultraviolet (UV) flashlight.

The station can be set up indoors or outdoors. They contain a fibrous material that is permeated with a powder that completely coats the rodent’s fur when it enters. The material contains enough powder to cover about 15 linear feet outside and farther inside. Once rodents leave the RodoTrak station, they create a trail of powder left as footprints where they walk or “body” prints where they rub against an entry or exit point, the company said.

Bird Barrier
www.birdbarrier.com

Bird-Off Gel, made from geranium oil, does not contain polybutene, a chemical that can make gels sticky, thus it won’t entrap small birds and is easy to clean up, the company said. Yet, it stays in place and most importantly, deters birds.

Bird-Off Gel has been marketed in Japan for several years and has a tested track record in that market, the company said. Bird-Off Gel deters birds with a combination of feel, taste and smell. They don’t like the tacky sensation of the surface, and special additives in the gel deliver a smell and taste sensation that they want to avoid. The gel is made from all-natural, food-grade materials and does not require an EPA approval, the company said.

AMVAC
www.amvac-chemical.com

Nuvan Prostrips from Amvac Chemical Corporation provide pest management professionals with an effective tool to kill flies, moths, mosquitoes, gnats, cockroaches, silverfish, spiders, beetles, earwigs and other insect pests infesting enclosed industrial, commercial and residential areas.

Providing up to four months of control, Nuvan Prostrips utilize controlled release technology to slowly diffuse a deep penetrating vapor in enclosed spaces. Containing dichlorvos (DDVP), Nuvan Prostrips go to work immediately with a clean, odorless, vapor that leaves no messy residue, the company said. Nuvan Prostrips are available in 16- and 65-gram sizes. To use, pest management professionals need to remove from sealed bag and hang in desired location away from windows and out of reach of children and pets.

Nuvan Prostrips provide effective, long-lasting control of flies in garbage cans and Dumpsters, control of mosquitoes in catch basins, and control of fire ants, wasps and other insect pests that commonly infest enclosed utility boxes, conduits, junction boxes, enclosed electrical panels and motor control rooms, the company said. They are ideal for control of moths infesting bulk-stored raw grains, and flies, mosquitoes and gnats in horse barns, calf and hog parlors, poultry houses, dog kennels and dairy milk rooms. They may also be used in reptile houses and terrariums, boathouses, and to protect museum collections from moths and other flying and crawling insects.

Nuvan Prostrips also are suited for use in enclosed residential areas, and provide households with continuous protection against moths, silverfish, cockroaches and other insects listed in enclosed closets, wardrobes and cupboards. They may be used to kill flying and crawling insects in storage units, attics, garages and enclosed crawl spaces.

TheCrevice is a new, unique, patented gel bait presentation device designed for pest management professionals. It allows for the easy application and easy removal of gel baits if they no longer needed, the company said. TheCrevice is available in two versions: 1) place and toss,  and 2) peel and stick. Each version has its own unique uses, all of which will reduce bait usage while providing positive results, the company said.

The place-and-toss version helps the applicator get the gel baits to almost inaccessible areas without “squirting” the gels, which can lead to overapplying and wasting of baits. The peel-and-stick version allows for professional applications in and on pantry/kitchen cabinets, commercial equipment and sensitive surfaces, the company said. The device provides “a crevice” if one does not exist where the application is necessary. This is an Integrated Pest Management device that can be used as part of a pest management professional’s green pest management program.

Workhorse Custom Chassis
www.workhorse.com

Workhorse Custom Chassis offers a power take-off (PTO) that can drive many products, including an air compressor, generator or hydraulic pump for walk-in trucks built on Workhorse’s new heavy-duty W62 diesel chassis. Workhorse has created an integrated build process that enables the PTO option to be built with the chassis right from the dealer. The PTO-ready chassis is then upfitted with a selection of products from Vanair, a manufacturer of vehicle-mounted air compressors.

Totally contained within the chassis frame rails, the Vanair products utilize the power of the engine to drive pneumatic, electric and hydraulic tools and equipment, the company said. The auxiliary power is generated from the platform’s International Maxxforce 5 200-horsepower diesel engine. The PTO can power an air compressor, a generator and various sized hydraulic pumps. PTO-equipped Workhorse chassis can significantly reduce equipment, fuel and manpower costs, the company said. The air compressor and the AC generator can run separately or simultaneously. An instrument panel features an hour meter, pressure gauge and temperature gauge for easy monitoring.
