MGK Company introduces BEDLAM Insecticide. BEDLAM (which stands for BED bugs, Lice And Dust Mites) Insecticide is the first insect control product specially designed to kill bed bugs, the company reports. BEDLAM delivers quick knockdown and kill of bed bugs, with up to five weeks of residual activity, according to MGK. Bedlam’s water-based aerosol formula is non-irritating, and will not stain water-safe fabrics and surfaces.
 BEDLAM is labeled for sites where bed bugs travel or hide. BEDLAM may be used as a surface application to treat mattresses, box springs, fabric, furniture, drapes, garments, carpet, pet areas and other sites where bed bugs are found. BEDLAM also can be applied to cracks, crevices, bed frames, on and behind headboards and baseboards, and other harborage areas.
 In addition to the control of bed bugs, lice and dust mites, BEDLAM is also labeled for the control of ticks and fleas. The product is avail-able in a 17-ounce aerosol and is packaged six aerosols per case.

New XLure Multi-Species Beetle Floor Traps from J.F. Oakes are prebaited with pheromones and a powerful, patented food lure to attract a wide range of beetles, borers, weevils and their larvae, the company says. The outer surface is textured and angled to encourage upward movement of all beetles into the trap. Once inside, beetles fall on a filter paper soaked in wheat germ oil (another food attractant) and their spiracles become coated, inducing death. The enclosed trap body design protects the lure, pheromones and oil from dusty environments while offering insects a dark harborage in which to seek sex, food and shelter.
