This highly concentrated 6 percent pyrethrum insecticide with a 60 percent synergist offers quick knockdown and kill, the company reports. Pyreth-It Formula 2 may be used alone or in combination with other insecticides to provide rapid knockdown and kill of many insects, including ants, cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, spiders and various stored product pests. It is labeled for indoor and outdoor use as well as in food-handling areas.

Maxforce Fly Spot Bait from Bayer Environmental Science is now available. The product comes in two package sizes: 2-ounce packets (50 per case), which make 16 ounces of ready-to-use spray and a 1-pound plastic bottle (six per case). Maxforce Fly Spot Bait gives pest management professionals the opportunity to provide fly control in a variety of settings that previously could not be treated with fly baits, including commercial dining rooms, outside homes and around pet areas, the company reports. The product also can be used in and around agricultural livestock production facilities.
Maxforce Fly Spot Bait can be sprayed or painted onto surfaces, killing flies in 60 seconds or less and providing up to six weeks of control indoors and up to 14 days when applied around the outside of residences or commercial buildings, according to the manufacturer. Maxforce Fly Spot Bait attracts flies with attractants combined with the active ingredient imidacloprid. Additionally, Maxforce Fly Spot Bait contains Bitrex, a bittering agent designed to minimize ingestion by non-target animals.

Bell Laboratories’ new Provoke Professional Mouse Attractant is now available in a nine-pack box. The new, recloseable nine-pack lets pest management professionals purchase case quantities of the attractant without having to buy a box of 24 bottles. Developed by Bell scientists, Provoke is the first and only hypoallergenic, non-toxic attractant developed specifically to the feeding preferences of mice, the company reports.

J.F. Oakes offers BoraSol Liquid, a borate-based insecticide for the treatment of termites, wood-destroying insects, powderpost beetles, carpenter ants and fungus. BoraSol mixes easily in cold water and the 3:1 mixing ratio makes mixing on site easy. BoraSol does not use any glycols, which is key in easy mixing as well as quick cleaning of equipment afterward, the company reports. Environment-friendly emulsifiers are used in BoraSol to penetrate wood for protection against powderpost beetles, carpenter ants and other wood-destroying insects. Penetration studies are available upon request. BoraSol is available in a 1-gallon (135 ounce) container and 67-ounce wide-mouth container.

The product is labeled for outdoor perimeter pest control, indoors for food-handling areas, turf and ornamentals, and animal housing.
