WHITMIRE MICRO-GEN
Whitmire Micro-Gen’s new PT brand 381B Advance liquid ant bait delivers a balanced formulation of attractive ingredients, including sugar, in a water-based formulation. This bait also delivers performance results that pest management professionals need. PT 381B Advance liquid ant bait contains 1.3 percent borax. Upon discovering PT 381B liquid ant bait, ants consume the bait, recruit other foragers and return to the colony where the bait is shared with immatures, reproductives and other workers. The treated colony is gradually reduced and finally eliminated, the company says. PT 381B Advance liquid ant bait controls numerous ants including: acrobat, allegheny, Argentine, carpenter, crazy, ghost, odorous house, Pharaoh, white-footed and many others. The bait can be used both indoors and outdoors, as well as in food-handling facilities, and commercial and residential buildings.
DR. T’S NATURE PRODUCTS
Dr. T’s Nature Products Inc. introduced its new Mosquito & Gnat Flying Insect Repellent recently. The new repellent is formulated from an all-natural organic formula that includes lemon grass, as well as mint and garlic oils. One application can last up to three weeks and the repellent will not harm grass, plants or garden crops. Available in a 5-pound shaker top, which covers 4,000 square feet, or a 20-pound pail that covers 16,000 square feet, the formula helps to prevent mosquito-carried diseases and is effective on many other flying insects, the company says.
ROCKWELL LABS
New InVite Moth Lure Gel from Rockwell Labs Ltd. contains pheromones for a range of pantry moths including Indian meal moths, almond moths, Mediterranean flour moths, tobacco moths and raisin moths, blended into a unique oil gel. Since the pheromones are blended throughout the gel rather than being coated on the outside as in traditional lures, the release rate is more uniform and the pheromone lasts for 90 days, the company says.
InVite Moth Lure Gel is conveniently packaged in a six-dose mini-syringe, ready to apply directly to any glueboard, or in the Yellow PFT Station for high-volume trapping in dusty areas, where glueboards are less effective.
NISUS
Bora-Care from the Nisus Corporation just keeps getting bigger. The company is now offering pest control professionals a new 5-gallon size of its popular borate termiticide, insecticide and fungicide. Nisus Corporation still produces the 1-gallon container, but some pest management professionals were asking for the larger size for bigger jobs, Nisus reports. The new 5-gallon containers will make it more convenient for those pest management professionals who use high-volume pumping systems.
Bora-Care is an environmentally friendly termiticide that is sprayed on wood during the dried-in phase of construction and never in the soil, Nisus reports.
OLDHAM CHEMICALS
The Little Giant Ladder System, available from Oldham Chemicals, is more versatile, cost effective and safer than many other ladders available to the pest management industry, Oldham says. The Little Giant provides users with several sizes of a stepladder, an adjustable extension ladder, a stairway ladder and two trestles for scaffolding, all in one package.
The ladder’s manufacturer, Wing Enterprises, offers a five-year limited warranty on the Little Giant Type 1A ladder. In addition, component parts can be replaced.
