Bayer Environmental Science offers DeltaGard G insecticide, which delivers the strength of DeltaGard brand deltramethrin, in a state-of-the-art water-dispersible granular carrier that provides quick knockdown and control of ants and other crawling insects, Bayer ES reports. DeltaGard G is specifically designed to quickly control more than 50 perimeter pests in and around lawns and landscapes. DeltaGard G’s granular carrier provides uniform coverage; 1 pound of product disperses into millions of sub particles. Ultra-low-dose DeltaGard G’s particle size enables easier calibration and spreading, which leads to better coverage. The size of the granules enables them to penetrate through vegetative cover and effectively treat hard-to-reach areas where pests may be foraging, trailing or nesting. DeltaGard G granules have virtually no odor and will not stain concrete or damage plants, the company says. In addition, DeltaGard G provides a residual of up to four weeks and has no limit to the number of applications per year. DeltaGard G is available in resealable 10- and 20-pound plastic bags.

Gentrol Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate from Zoëcon Professional Products have been approved for the control of bed bugs. Both products contain the active ingredient (S)-Hydroprene, an insect growth regulator (IGR), which disrupts the normal growth and development of cockroaches and stored product pests, drain flies and fruit flies, as well as bed bugs.

According to the company, Gentrol Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate formulations provide excellent efficacy against bed bugs when applied as spot or crack and crevice applications to breeding areas such as crevices, baseboards, floors or walls. Gentrol also can be applied as a general surface spray, spot or crack and crevice treatment for other insect pests, such as cockroaches, in residential homes, manufacturing facilities, day-care centers, office buildings, schools, nursing homes, warehouses, transportation vehicles and in food-handling establishments, such as restaurants and food-processing plants.

Gladiator from Agrisel USA is an EPA-approved neurotoxin for anticoagulant-resistant rodents. A single dose is lethal to rodents — including Norway rats, roof rats and house mice — but is safe for pets and animals, according to the manufacturer. Once Gladiator is consumed, rats and mice stop eating additional bait. After consumption of Gladiator, results are achieved within one or two days.
