Bell Laboratories
Bell Laboratories recently introduced Talpirid mole bait. Both field and laboratory tested, Talpirid is the first mole bait proven to work in laboratory efficacy tests on moles, the company says. Talpirid mimics the mole’s natural food source and has the same size, shape and feel as earthworms. One worm contains a lethal dose of bromethalin, an active ingredient that capitalizes on the mole’s high-energy demands. Talpirid can kill in 24 hours, Bell Labs reports. Special enhancers help ensure bait attraction and acceptance. Each tray of 10 worms is factory sealed for freshness and maximum shelf life. Each box contains two typical treatments (20 worms).

The Zoëcon comprehensive flea control product line featuring the Precor family of products, including the newly reformulated Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray, equips pest control operators with a variety of treatment options designed to treat flea infestations. All Precor products contain Methoprene, an insect growth regulator that is an effective, long-term control option for fleas, the company says. Precor works on fleas in their immature stages, breaking the cycle of infestations and preventing re-infestations. Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray contains two adulticides to quickly kill adult fleas. It also contains Precor IGR. The product offers up to seven months of protection against reinfestation. Precor IGR treats up to 1,500 square feet of surface area for seven months and is most effective when applied to carpets, upholstery and floorboards where pre-adult fleas live. Whitmire Micro-Gen
Whitmire Micro-Gen has introduced Vector Plasma — the highest wattage wall mounted insect light trap available on the market, the company says. The unit’s two 36-watt ultraviolet bulbs produce 72 watts of power and the angle of the bulbs and glueboards are engineered in a way that maximizes ultraviolet (UV) light output. A reflector bar is used to effectively direct this UV light outside of the trap, which helps to increase the device’s insect attraction ability and catching potential. Vector Plasma is 2½ inches thick and has an extruded aluminum construction. Its all-metal construction also includes electronic ballast, which ensures constant UV output, efficient energy use and eliminates the need to replace starters. The unit weighs 6 pounds and can be installed horizontally, vertically or in a corner.
