DOW AGROSCIENCES

Recruit IV termite bait for the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System has received federal registration. Dow AgroSciences said it expects its next-generation termite bait — Recruit IV — to be available in early 2005. While Authorized Operators of the Sentricon System are realizing faster colony elimination with Recruit III, Recruit IV is expected to provide increased business flexibility and continued ability to grow profits as a result of innovations in the bait matrix and modifications to the monitoring schedule, according to Dow AgroSciences. Like Recruit III, Recruit IV termite bait provides proven colony elimination, using noviflumuron as the active ingredient for faster termite colony elimination, the company reports. However, Recruit IV offers more colony elimination power because each Baitube device contains nearly twice as much bait. Recruit IV also features a new unique bait matrix, called PTC — Preferred Textured Cellulose — which is in the form of small briquettes that readily absorb added moisture.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT SUPPLIES

www.skeetercontrol.com

Breakthrough space-age technology, developed with technical assistance from NASA, has resulted in this high-grade aluminum, maintenance-free, Infrared Mosquito Killing Trap from Wildlife Management Supplies. In 17 years of research and testing, the IMKT consistently outperforms every machine and product on the market for trapping and drastically reducing mosquito populations, the company says. The IMKT creates a source of heat and carbon dioxide (CO2)
in proportions that female mosquitoes are genetically programmed to seek. The trap mimics a mosquito’s prey by cycling every six to nine minutes with different body signatures (temperature and breathing of humans, pets, etc.). There is a monthly contract opportunity for CO2 refills (or refills with ULV or barrier treatments).
