The new Hex-Pro Termite Baiting System from Dow AgroSciences, with the active ingredient hexaflumuron, offers pest management professionals an effective, reliable termite control system, the company says. Hexaflumuron is the active ingredient in Shatter termite bait and is used in the Hex-Pro System.
Extensive third-party testing and 10 years of in-field success destroying termites documents the proven performance of hexaflumuron, Dow AgroSciences said. Shatter termite bait, combined with a system of wood monitors and Hex-Pro’s termite station design, make the Hex-Pro System an offering pest management professionals can stand behind with confidence, the manufacturer reports.
The Hex-Pro System was designed for easy installation and monitoring. Narrow diameter Hex-Pro termite stations can be installed in tight areas, and bar-coded components can be used with tracking software for use in quality control and documentation. For faster control of termites, Shatter termite bait can be installed in auxiliary Hex-Pro termite stations at a site on the day the system is installed. The unit’s design makes the wood monitors easy to replace and easy for the technician to insert a bait cartridge.
Components of the Hex-Pro Termite Baiting System are scheduled to be available through distributors later this month.

Kness Manufacturing

Kness Manufacturing introduces the new Ants-No-More Ant Bait Station Replacement Cup. The replacement cup is an accessory to allow faster service time, easier baiting of the station and will eliminate the need to clean the station. The replacement cup, which comes packaged 48 per box, is for use in the Ants-No-More Ant Bait Station. The stations are placed outdoors by sticking them in the ground, or indoors by inserting them into the soil of planters. Place wherever foraging ants are causing a problem — around homes, buildings, near shrubs, trees, flower beds or planter boxes. The foraging ants enter the station and take the bait from one of two compartments back to the nest. PCOs eliminate the foraging ant problem by eliminating the nest.

Woodstream Corporation introduces the new Victor Corner Cat Multiple Catch Mouse Trap (model M411). Corner Cat is low-profile, constructed of shatterproof high impact plastic and may be used in USDA and FDA facilities. A Corner Cat Glue Board (model M305) is placed in Corner Cat to allow quick and easy service. Bird-X
www.bird-x.com
Bird-X Spikes are engineered of 100 percent post-industrial scrap plastic. Discarded plastic products are ground, formed into pellets, melted, dyed and molded into the new spikes. The spikes themselves project up and out from their base at varying angles to prevent bird landing and roosting. Outer spikes have additional spiked branches to offer full, dense coverage. Birds avoid surfaces treated with Spikes — think “barbed wire for birds.” The transparent polycarbonate plastic material is durable, weather- and UV-resistant, and unobtrusive. It is flexible enough to install on straightaways, curves, corners or irregular surfaces. Modules are 1-foot long, nest for easy handling, and affix to any surface using adhesive, screws, nails or wire ties.
