Zoecon Professional Products
Zoecon Professional Products, a division of Central Life Sciences, has introduced a convenient and easy-to-use bottle for its Catalyst insecticide. The new 16-ounce bottle allows for fast, easy and accurate dilution with water, the company reports. It replaces the 3.2-ounce and 64-ounce Catalyst sizes.
Catalyst offers quick knockdown of roaches, ants, spiders and stored product pests, as well as fruit and drain flies – including those in foodservice environments. Catalyst is a stable, low-odor, water-based formulation that kills even bait-adverse roaches on contact, Zoecon reports. The Catalyst formulation creates long-lasting residual protection that can withstand high heat and humidity on a variety of surfaces, including stainless steel and fiberglass. For a one-two punch, Catalyst may be used in a combination program with an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) such as Gentrol.

Bird-X
Woodpecker PRO is a species-specific woodpecker repeller that creates a danger zone using actual recorded distress cries of flicker and downy woodpeckers, yellow-bellied sapsuckers and more. The unit also uses the natural calls of four predators to scare the woodpeckers even more. All cries are programmable for volume, time off periods, hours of operation, and random or sequential play. This combination of options makes it virtually impossible for woodpeckers to get used to any one constant pattern, manufacturer Bird-X reports.
Woodpecker PRO is compact and portable, measuring 10.25 by 3.75 by 4.25 inches and weighing 4 pounds. It is made in the United States. The larger Super Woodpecker PRO model uses four remote speakers (as opposed to one self-contained speaker) to gain up to six acres of coverage. Either model can be operated with standard 110v AC electricity (adaptor included) or with a 12v DC deep cycle marine type battery. If battery operation is selected, the battery can be constantly recharged using a solar panel.
Woodpecker PRO can be used for any woodpecker infestation, including a wide range of structures, utility poles, fenced areas, or wherever destructive woodpeckers are a problem.
