TERMIDOR SPONSORS NHL’S TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Termidor company officials recently announced that the brand has become an in-ice sponsor of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. For the remaining 33 home games of the 2002-03 season, the Termidor logo will be imbedded in the ice of the St. Pete Times Forum in front of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s player bench.

Termidor Product Manager Karl J. Kisner said the company chose to become a Tampa Bay Lightning sponsor because of the opportunity it offered to reach homeowners in a region with severe termite infestation. "Tampa Bay ranks third in the nation for termite damage," Kisner said. "By sponsoring the Tampa Bay Lightning, we are able to build local homeowner awareness and interest in Termidor, while also reaching a larger audience who will be exposed to Termidor through national television coverage of the games and highlights."

In addition to the exposure generated from the in-ice logo, homeowners will be reminded of Termidor through advertisements in the game-day program and commercials that will air pre-game on Tampa Bay’s sports station. The message of the ads will be to encourage homeowners to contact their local Termidor-certified pest management professional to request a termite inspection and ask for Termidor by name.

"Termite infestation and damage is a problem for homeowners in almost every U.S. state," Kisner continued. "Our partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning and other major sports teams across the country affords us the opportunity to reach potential customers in our key markets and assists us in making Termidor the consumers’ choice for termite control."
