1. How do Neogen’s Professional Pest and Food Safety missions align?

Neogen’s mission over the last 40 years has been concise and clear: to protect global food supply using a “Farm to Fork” strategy. Our continued focus on the professional pest industry has allowed Neogen the ability to offer key insect, rodent and disinfectant solutions under the SureKill portfolio. The SureKill portfolio offers solutions through all steps of the food process, including agriculture, food processing, restaurants and residential homes, to keep supply chains moving and people safe.

2. What does the SureKill “One Brand. Endless Protection.” tagline mean for the PMP?

Neogen’s vision has always been to provide our customers with one partner for trusted solutions and technical support. SureKill’s professional brand of insect control, rodent control and disinfectant products provide endless opportunities to protect your customer through one trusted partner: Neogen Professional Pest. The SureKill portfolio continues to grow year after year, adding unique solutions to the everyday challenges our customers face.

3. How do the SureKill Gel Bait formulations differ from other baits?

As a new addition to the SureKill portfolio, both the Roach gel and Ant gel are a great example of the Neogen commitment to providing our customers with valuable product solutions. Formulated with an imidacloprid active ingredient in a unique bait matrix, it allows the applied product to stay palatable in environments where the PMP needs them most. The hygroscopic nature of both formulations slows the process of gels becoming hard due to the loss of moisture content once applied.

4. What additional SureKill formulations and products should PMPs be introduced to?

In addition to the gel baits, two come to mind immediately: SureKill Flusher, a patented non-flammable aerosol; and SureKill Command rodenticide, treated with S-methoprene IGR to protect the bait from infestation by insects. Both products were born by assessing the missed needs of the pest control industry. SureKill translated those needs into useful solutions by providing added safety and added protection, respectively.

5. What is next for Neogen and the SureKill portfolio?

Neogen has always had an open vision concerning new products and solutions. We operate knowing the pest industry faces challenges from pest pressures and regulations and strive to bring PMPs new and forward-thinking innovations. Our next steps might include solutions outside of our normal pesticide manufacturing, with the vision of a multi-solution IPM approach to pest management.
