1. Why is the Sentricon® system effective against termites?

The Sentricon system is the most effective tool against termites because it uses termites’ own biology and behavior to eliminate the entire colony versus simply controlling it. Our Recruit® HD termite bait, with Always Active™ technology, enhances the efficacy by ensuring the bait is always ready for the next termite encounter.

2. After 26 years, how does the Sentricon® system ensure it continues to outperform newer termite products?

To ensure we meet the needs of the market and our partners, one of our two guiding lights is technical success. Our 26 field experts and scientists provide technical training and guidance to educate CSSs and homeowners for both curative and preventative solutions. On the innovation side, we constantly challenge ourselves to innovate around the whole system, not just the active ingredient. For instance, we just released our Sentricon Scout™ equipment that helps drive operational efficiencies in our partners’ businesses.

3. Can liquid treatments be used alongside the Sentricon® system?

Liquid treatments can be used with Sentricon, but it’s not recommended. A 2018 University of Florida research study1 found the accumulation of cadavers near the liquid-treated area resulted in secondary repellency. This impacted bait station hits because termites avoided the areas treated with liquid termiticides. The true benefit of Sentricon is in application versatility, making it THE Standalone Solution.

4. Why is the Sentricon® system a standalone solution for termite colony elimination?

Our in- and above-ground bait stations offer CSSs the versatility to use the Sentricon® system for curative and preventative applications. In addition to the 70+ research studies, new research is conducted to underscore the system’s efficacy. For example, a 2017 University of Florida study2 found only one day of feeding is enough to eliminate a termite colony, while a 2021 study3 found termites need to consume just 77 mg of termite-specific pesticide for full colony elimination.

5. How can using the Sentricon® system as a standalone solution benefit my business?

Using Sentricon as a standalone solution offers numerous business benefits. The system offers a positive cash-flow business model, and it’s a lower cost to support than other treatment methods. In addition to operational efficiencies, Sentricon customers yield a high retention rate, providing a recurring revenue stream.
