For the past three years, in conjunction with PCT magazine and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions has sponsored an annual survey devoted to addressing key issues of importance to PMPs, as a way of giving back to the industry.
The first of these assessments, which appeared in the January 2015 issue of PCT, was titled “Benchmarking Your Business.” This operating cost ratio survey was designed to assist pest control companies in benchmarking their business, allowing PMPs to compare their financial performance against others in the industry. Topics included a broad range of business metrics, including the average distribution of add-on service revenue, overall operating expenses, average annual growth rate and vehicle maintenance costs.
Last year, we sponsored a comprehensive “Compensation & Benefits Survey,” providing PMPs with valuable insights about everything from employee wages and incentive plans to benefit packages and health care offerings. These articles appeared in the January 2016 issue of PCT.
And this year, we’re pleased to sponsor the much-anticipated “Business Outlook Survey.” This latest survey examines the key growth opportunities and market challenges facing PMPs as they begin a new year. How you respond to these challenges and opportunities will determine your company’s financial performance in 2017.
We would like to thank all those randomly-selected pest management professionals who took the time to participate in this year’s survey. We’re confident you’ll find the results beneficial in managing your business, laying the groundwork for a successful 2017!
Sincerely,
Jonathan K. Sweat
Director, BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions
