Daniel Aust has been promoted to director of business development for Bug Doctor.

Aust will focus on areas such as national account development, website enhancement, search engine optimization (SEO), lead generation and marketing strategies. Aust graduated cum laude with a BA in Philosophy and Global Studies from Taylor University in Upland, Ind.

Diane Allemang, FMC Corp. agricultural solutions director of global portfolio management & strategic marketing and North America business development, was elected to a two-year term as CropLife America’s (CLA) 46th board chair. Allemang was elected by the board of directors at CLA’s joint Annual Meeting with RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment), becoming CLA’s first female chair. As the head of CLA’s board, Allemang will work with the organization’s leadership and board to meet its strategic objectives.

After a long and successful career, Ben Buono, founder of Buono Pest Control, Belmont, Mass., retired with 37 years at the helm. After a tour in Vietnam, he was employed by Waltham Services for seven years. In 1978 he started Buono Pest Control. During that time he initiated the New England Pest Management Association (NEPMA) Golf Tournament, which supports the Mark Weintraub Scholarship and also helped to develop the IPM Registry. An active NEPMA member, he served as president and also received the Bartlett Eldridge Award.

Moving forward, Marillian Missiti will serve as president and Steven Buono as the chief operating officer of the company. Together they have more than 50 years’ experience in the pest control industry.

“I am confident that my daughter Marillian and (her) brother Steve will grow the company by honoring my past work coupled by their experience and education that has been instilled in them, and their steadfast desire to exceed my expectations,” Buono stated.

“It is because of the foundation that my father laid that we are able to continue to grow and remain innovative in this ever-changing industry. Our goal is to continually cultivate our employees and clients in an extremely positive way,” Missiti explained.

Toby Srebnik joined Truly Nolen Pest Control as its in-house manager of public relations, social media and community events. He will oversee the company’s public relations and social media strategy and tactics and help the company gain exposure through local branches’ participation in community events.

Wil-Kil Pest Control, Chippewa Falls, Wis., announced the recent appointment of Anthony Kruszewski as regional manager. In his new role, Kruszewski will oversee all operations and business development, as well as residential and commercial services for customers in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire and the surrounding areas.

For the second year in a row, Jean Grono-Nowry of Massey Services has been honored by the Orlando Business Journal as one of Central Florida’s outstanding C-level executives in the category of chief financial officer. She manages all Massey financial matters, including corporate strategy, budgeting and planning, business integration, and corporate administrative operations, such as accounting and human resources.
