Los Angeles-based Bird Barrier America announced that Randy Hobbs will be the new bird control specialist for the Canadian market. Hobbs will focus on bird opportunities exclusively, and his role will be to support current customers in Canada and bring focus to new bird project opportunities. Hobbs is a former business partner and vice president for Braemar Pest Control. He is a past president of the Canadian Pest Management Association and sat on the board of directors for the National Pest Management Association. Bird Barrier President Cameron Riddell said, “Having worked with Randy all these years, we know he’s a great addition to the team and will make an immediate impact helping our Canadian customers. He’s been involved in hundreds of challenging bird control projects and has used Bird Barrier products for the past 20-plus years, making him the perfect fit for our growing market in Canada.”
Versacor Enterprises, Southlake, Texas, promoted Chris Blakley to business development manager. Prior to joining Versacor in 2020 as a strategic account executive, Blakley worked for five years in the commercial pest industry as a national account manager. Jason Eicher, Versacor president, said, “Since joining Versacor, Chris has demonstrated an ability to sell the more complex accounts within our market verticals and possesses great attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to interface well between service, sales and the client. I have full confidence that Chris will successfully lead our business development team in achieving the company’s year-over-year growth objectives.”
FMC announced the promotion of Allan Dufoe to North America sales manager — pest. Dufoe graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a major in entomology and worked in technical services with FMC earlier in his career. He has 26 years of experience with FMC. Dufoe has managed many key pest accounts and has extensive knowledge of the pest segment.
Liphatech promoted key sales leader Matt Titshaw to business manager of the company’s structural pest control division. Titshaw will be the strategic lead for all pest management industry sales of Liphatech product lines in the U.S. and Canada.
Bob Leon, A.C.E., joined Ecologic Entomology as operations manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in pest management and has held sales, service and management positions at both national and locally owned pest management companies.
