Rising fuel costs, labor shortages and difficulties sourcing everything from equipment to service vehicles have made for a challenging business climate. Unfortunately, pest management professionals (PMPs) don’t expect much relief in the year ahead.
That’s why the PestPartnersSM 365 Program from Syngenta is so valuable.
It Lowers the Cost of Premium Products.
The free loyalty program rewards participants in two ways: It provides discounts on bulk purchases, and it gives cash rebates on every Syngenta product bought during the program year.
For Augustine Services in Overland Park, Kansas, this means saving significantly on Demand® CS insecticide. An individual 32-ounce bottle of Demand CS costs $120 to $130. But through PestPartners 365, the company buys Master Shippers of 24 bottles each at a much lower price point, plus earns rebates on these purchases.
“Our cost per bottle is less than $80. That’s $50-a-bottle savings. We get the lowest price, and we’re getting rebates on everything else we purchase. It’s like every Syngenta product we buy is on sale,” says Thad Butler, manager of Augustine Services.
Not only is the lower price competitive with the cost of generic products, says Butler, but his 14 technicians are using a premium product they can trust.
The PestPartners 365 Program has five rebate levels: Partner, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. You lock in your level by buying Syngenta products during the qualification period, which runs Oct. 1, 2022, to April 30, 2023. The more you buy, the higher your level and the greater your rebates throughout the year. If you lock in your rebate level by Dec. 8, 2022, you also earn an Early Order Bonus.
Syngenta is also doubling the Early Order Bonus for companies that move up from last year’s Early Order Bonus amount, or become a new member at the Silver level or higher, by Dec. 8, 2022.
For the 2023 season, you’ll save even more because Syngenta has increased rebate percentages on Demand CS and Tandem® insecticides. “It is intentional to help relieve a little bit of the stress PMPs are facing,” says Marshall Gaster, head of marketing for Professional Pest Management (PPM) at Syngenta, North America.
“I think saving money any way you can right now is really important. These are uncertain times, and this program gives PMPs a foundation they can work from,” says Chris Gigley, marketing communications lead for PPM at Syngenta, North America.
It Delivers Peace of Mind.
The PestPartners 365 Program gives you more control over your own inventory.
“For me, I saw the value to secure my supply. I’m not relying on a supplier having the product when I need it,” says Michael Holly, who owns Agro Pest Control in Phoenix, Arizona, and Red Rock Pest Control in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Instead, product is in-house, and he has peace of mind knowing he can take care of his customers “without having to worry about supply chain issues.” Holly has participated in the PestPartners 365 Program since it began in 2015 and currently is a Platinum-level member.
Also easing concern: You can source a variety of products, from ant gel baits to rodenticides, to control a range of pests.
“I think that’s what makes PestPartners 365 so desirable for so many. We are the only manufacturer with a loyalty program that offers such a broad portfolio to choose from,” says Kristen Oakley, market manager for PPM at Syngenta, North America.
In 2023, you also can earn rebates on two new Syngenta products: Advion® MicroFlow insect bait and the soon-to-come Advion Trio cockroach gel bait.
It Improves Cash Flow.
SummerPay™ terms are a feature of the PestPartners 365 Program that lets you postpone payment until June 20, 2023, on popular Syngenta products bought during the qualification period.
“We’re cognizant of the seasonality of the business that we’re in and what pest management professionals are dealing with. SummerPay gives them the breathing room they need when it comes to their cash flow and being able to make their payment during peak earning periods,” says Gigley.
SummerPay let Holly redirect cash early in the season to help his company grow. “It did free up cash flow that I was able to utilize for capital purchases. That was a significant benefit for us,” he says.
It’s also helped simplify administrative tasks. Instead of dealing with a multitude of product purchases and credit card expenses, Holly now has one transaction to manage. “It’s easier to keep my books,” he says.
Oakley adds, “SummerPay lets PMPs prepare and not have to worry so much about product purchases on a weekly, biweekly, monthly basis. They can stock up and then focus their attention on other areas of the business.”
It Boosts Employee Morale.
Technicians are the face of the company. They want to know their employer is backing them up with the best products so they can be successful solving customers’ pest problems.
Seeing premium Syngenta products in the storage cage gives them confidence to do their job. “It’s like a morale booster for them to see all that product sitting in your storeroom instead of seeing one or two bottles on a shelf and wondering, ‘Are we going to be in business or not?’” says Holly.
Additionally, Holly uses his PestPartners 365 rebate checks to help fund team- building and appreciation events for his nine employees. These include spa days for office staff and weekends of camping and UTV riding for field staff.
Other PMPs have used their rebate and Early Order Bonus checks to help fund company dinners and vacations, buy new equipment and service vehicles and provide financial support to employees facing expensive medical bills for sick family members.
It Reduces Expensive Callbacks.
Pest management professionals trust the Syngenta products they buy through the PestPartners 365 Program.
“The value, obviously, is that it’s good for our bottom line. We buy a lot of Syngenta products because they work well, and we believe in them. We have good success. We don’t get callbacks,” says Butler of Augustine Services.
To reduce callbacks, Rose Pest Solutions in Northfield, Illinois, has standardized its residential service protocols. It stocks fewer, premium-only products, which means its 85 technicians get a deeper understanding of product labels and become experts at mixing and applying these materials.
“The more we can limit the variability, the more successful our service professionals can be and the more satisfied our customers will be,” says Curtis Rand, vice president of operations and general manager of the company, which is a Platinum-level member of PestPartners 365.
The technical support from Syngenta also helps reduce callbacks. PMPs say they rely on Syngenta experts for training and to help with challenging pest situations.
It’s Easy.
Participating in the PestPartners 365 Program is “a no-brainer” for Butler. His favorite aspect of the program is the simplicity.
“We do nothing. We don’t have to track anything or turn in any reports. Everything is done behind the scenes, and it works seamlessly. That’s key because there are enough things going on around here and this is one less thing that I have to worry about,” he says.
The program makes premium products accessible to companies of all sizes. Simply buy any combination of Syngenta products generating at least $200 in base rebates by April 30, 2023, and you’re in. Syngenta then works with authorized agents and distributor partners to track product sales for you.
PMPs can create a free account on SyngentaPMP.com to use the online rebate status tracker and rebate calculator. The tools help you plan, estimate and run different models to maximize your savings. You also can work with your Syngenta territory manager to get this information.
The PestPartners 365 Program offers the same savings year-round so you’re not chasing seasonal promotions. “You don’t have to worry about making sure you get the best deal on products. It just takes one thing off your plate, so you can be more effective doing what you do best, which is protecting homes and businesses from pests,” says Gaster.
As the industry’s first-ever loyalty program, PestPartners 365 continues to evolve to meet the business needs of PMPs. “We believe in this program. We think this is the right way to go about this business and we’re committed to it,” says Gaster.
