LEADERSHIP AWARDS: The Class Of 2001

A tradition of excellence has been renewed as Pest Control Technology and Syngenta Professional Products recently announced the winners of the 2001 Leadership Awards.

Now celebrating its 13th year, the Leadership Awards spotlight individuals who have contributed positively to the growth of the structural pest management industry, as well as established strong ties with fellow business leaders and customers in their respective organizations and communities.

This year’s Leadership Award winners represent a diverse cross-section of the pest management industry in terms of company size and location, but all share the common thread of professionalism.

The 10 recipients of this year’s Leadership Awards were recognized in a special commemorative edition of PCT magazine and at a reception at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans during the 2001 National Pest Management Association convention.

Winners of the 2001 Leadership Awards are: Jay Bruesch, Plunkett’s Pest Control, Fridley, Minn.; Rick Cooper, Cooper Pest Control, Lawrenceville, N.J.; Herb Field, Lloyd Pest Control, San Diego, Calif.; Clarke Keenan, Waltham Services, Waltham, Mass.; Dr. Ralph Killough, Killo Exterminating, Charlotte, N.C.; Rob Lederer, the National Pest Management Association, Dunn Loring, Va.; Mike McCauley, The Bug Man, Benton, Ark.; Dr. Mike Potter, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky.; Dr. George Rambo, GR Consulting Services, Hern-don, Va.; and, Bruce Tennenbaum, Arizona Pest Control, Tucson, Ariz.

“PCT takes great pride in recognizing professionalism and outstanding achievement in the pest management industry, and the Leadership Awards are an extension of the pride we feel,” said Dan Moreland, publisher of PCT magazine. “It takes a great deal of creativity and persistence to succeed in this industry, and this year’s winners have clearly exhibited their abilities in these areas.”

“Each of the PCT/Syngenta Leadership winners this year is respected by his peers throughout the structural pest control industry,” added Randy Moser, professional pest management marketing manager for Syngenta. “Though they have all come from different backgrounds and followed different paths to success, each contributes to his own company — as well as to the entire industry — a sense of dedication that is unmatched.”
