Bayer Environmental Science announced that Temprid SC Insecticide is now available for use in 47 states (registrations also have been submitted and are pending for New York and California). The product is not registered in Alaska. It is packaged in 400-ml bottles and contains six bottles per case.

According to the manufacturer, through the fusion of beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid, Temprid provides quick knockdown and long residual control of more than 50 pests, including ants, spiders, cockroaches and other key perimeter pests. In addition, Temprid offers broad spectrum control and is labeled for indoor and outdoor use, making it a flexible perimeter product, the company says. It can be used in and around buildings and structures, as well as on established landscape ornamentals around residential and commercial properties. The company says Temprid not only provides effective ant control but also eliminates the ants’ primary food source, honeydew, which is produced by plant pests such as aphids, mealy bugs or scale insects.

Once the cartridge has run its 60-day cycle, an alarm alerts the user to replace the cartridge. The auto-advancing cartridge inside the unit can capture up to 10 times more flies than standard glueboards, the company said. Paraclipse fly traps follow all USDA/FDA guidelines, according to the manufacturer. The units are designed for use in restaurants, convenience stores, dining areas, bars and buffets.
