Kness Manufacturing
www.kness.comKness Manufacturing recently released two special edition mousetraps: A limited edition patriotic-themed Snap-E Mousetrap and a one-of-a-kind pink Snap-E Mousetrap.
The patriotic-themed trap will help raise funds and awareness for the Welcome Home Soldier Monument project, located near the company’s home city of Albia, Iowa. A small production run of the “Welcome Home Soldier” Snap-E traps were made for various fundraising efforts. All proceeds were donated to the Welcome Home Soldier Monument.
This limited-edition product features two red, white and blue multicolored Snap-E Mousetraps, paying homage to the sacrifices that the nation’s veterans have made, the company reports. The packaging is also one-of-a-kind. Mirroring the traps’ color scheme on the outside, this display also brings attention to the imagery of the Welcome Home Soldier Monument. On the inside cover of the packaging is the story of the monument’s beginnings and its mission.
“We are very proud to support and recognize our veterans in this special way. Finding ways to give back and invest in our community is a part of who we are as a company and a team,” said Dan Crew, general manager, Kness Manufacturing. “The Welcome Home Soldier Monument is near and dear to all of our hearts here at Kness.”
Also, the company created a one-of-a-kind pink Snap-E Mousetrap in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer and support women in the industry. These unique mousetraps were unveiled and distributed during this year’s Women in Pest Control conference in Houston, Texas.
“With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, we wanted to bring attention to this important health issue that affects people all over the world and in our industry,” Crew said. “Giving back to our community is engrained into our company culture. We are proud to support women in the industry and others in any way we can.”
Kness was a silver sponsor for the 2nd Annual Women in Pest Control Conference and had a booth at the event. The conference featured an all-female line-up of speakers, educational presentations and exhibitors. The company gave the pink Snap-E Mousetraps away at industry events throughout October.
Along with supporting women and breast cancer awareness, Kness said the pink traps also demonstrate that the company is capable of producing a wide range of custom-colored pest traps. This coloring process is a service that can be done as a special request of customers.
Rockwell Labs
www.rockwelllabs.comRockwell Labs recently launched a new website (www.rockwelllabs.com) that builds on its popular features of the “old” website, including the basic format that made it easy to use and navigate, but with some notable improvements, the firm says. The new website includes a more traditional company homepage, more images and graphics, updated information and enhanced organization of content.
“When we began building the new website, we wanted to make sure that we maintained the usability of the old website that was so popular with PMPs and distributors,” says David Murphy, vice president of marketing for Rockwell Labs. “Ease of navigation was our top priority. After that, it was simply a matter of updating and enhancing the various sections of the new website, and adding a more traditional company overview homepage. Just like the previous site, the beauty of the new website is its simplicity.”
