Catchmaster
www.catchmasterpro.comCatchmaster recently launched an online Mosquito Management Program, a tool for pest professionals interested in offering mosquito control services or those looking to expand their business. The roll-out comes as PMPs focus on outdoor service offerings to adhere to social distancing standards, Catchmaster says.
The Mosquito Management Program offers a blueprint on who to market to and why, when mosquito seasons take place, biological information on key mosquito species inhabiting each region, marketing mosquito services 101 and mosquito products to consider. The program guide also touches on servicing sensitive accounts for mosquitoes, a frequently daunting task, the company says.
“This mosquito program guide is unique to the pest control industry, as it gives PMPs much more to consider than just what chemicals and equipment they might use,” said Stan Cope, vice president of technical services. “It will allow current and future mosquito service providers to offer a true Integrated Mosquito Management program, which will save time and money, protect the environment and result in satisfied customers.”

“Perimeter pest control services continue to be a significant part of PMPs’ revenues,” said Marshall Gaster, market manager for Professional Pest Management (PPM) at Syngenta. “We’re pleased to introduce this new solution, which is specifically formulated for perimeter pests, and offers highly targeted, effective control in areas that can’t always be sprayed, such as large mulch beds.”
The company says Advion Insect granular bait was developed with a palatable formulation that results in greater bait consumption. According to Syngenta, other product features include:
- Peace of mind with a MetaActive effect and horizontal transfer, which help provide control of target pests.
- Reliable control of common pests like ants, cockroaches, crickets and silverfish.
- Convenience with two package sizes: a 1-lb. shaker bottle, ideal for perimeter band or spot treatments, and a 12-lb. bag to help meet higher-volume needs.
Paraclipse Systems
www.paraclipse.comParaclipse Systems recently announced it is taking proactive steps to address mosquito-borne viruses such as Zika, West Nile, EEE and others. Jim Reinders, vice president of sales, said, “With virus awareness raised it is important to make our Mosquito Eliminator systems that capture mosquitoes and other insects more available at a lower price. We have launched an aggressive pricing plan to encourage PMPs and others to offer more protection than ever before to their customers, both commercial and residential.”
Bird·B·Gone
www.birdbgone.comBird·B·Gone’s new product, Avian Block, passively distributes a proprietary blend of the bird deterrent methyl anthranilate (grapeseed extract) to repel all birds, the company says. Avian Block’s ease-of-use will help PMPs generate recurring revenue while addressing historically hard-to-treat bird control issues like outdoor restaurants, trees and entryways, or any other scenario where traditional structural bird control products like spikes, nets and tracks can’t be used, Bird·B·Gone adds. Avian Block is now EPA approved in most states and available for purchase through local distribution.
