Bell Laboratories announced the latest addition to its iQ line-up: the new Mouse iQ smart mouse trap. Powered by Bell Sensing Technologies, Mouse iQ contains Bluetooth technology, which means PMPs can use their smart device to check traps up to 100 feet away. Mouse iQ has a small footprint so technicians can target mice where they travel (heat registers, drop ceilings, rafters, etc.). With Mouse iQ, pest management professionals can provide more efficient service, giving technicians extra time to perform better pest control and ultimately grow their business, the company said.

Automatic Trap Company

The TerraTrap California Ground Squirrel Kit is a self-resetting humane-kill trap designed exclusively for the California ground squirrel. The trap looks like a rock, but inside is a Goodnature A18 self-resetting trap.

Ground squirrels are more likely to approach a trap that mimics the natural environment they are used to, said Automatic Trap Company. The design encourages tunneling into the trap. The system kills instantly, and the dead squirrel is released and scavenged by birds or other animals. Once scavengers in the area are acclimatized to checking the trap, it can produce a kill each day, as the scavengers will clear out the trap, the manufacturer said.

The system uses a CO2-powered self-resetting trap that kills up to 18 times before needing a new cartridge. The lure can be anything that squirrels accept; in-shell peanuts work well, said the company.

GPS Sprayers

The PA2 Duster is a CO₂-powered wasp treatment solution. Engineered and built in the UK, it allows the user to treat wasp, yellowjacket and hornet nests with a reach of more than 20 feet. The product harnesses the power of CO₂ gas to fire insecticide dust into the treatment area. The design prohibits blockages and wastage, said GPS Sprayers, resulting in more nests treated in less time. The product comes with a compact carry case and lightweight extension poles. GPS Sprayers ships internationally.

OcuTrap

OcuTrap is a wildlife control solution designed to humanely manage nuisance animals. Its online dashboard provides control and monitoring from any device, while cellular connectivity allows access from anywhere.

The traps offer long battery life, allowing for extended field use with minimal maintenance, said OcuTrap. The remote door control enables users to open and close traps from anywhere. The image recognition system identifies captured animals for informed decision-making.
