RodeXit
www.rodexit.comThe RodeXit rodent-proof weatherstrip is an improved version of a proven product from Denmark, the company says. The rodent-proof barrier consists of 10 stainless-steel wires, which are embedded in the polymer material Santoprene — a sturdy material invented by Exxon and used for durable products (e.g., car bumpers). The distance between the wires is less than 1/5 of an inch. That is too little even for a small mouse to gain access through, the company says.
The wires are so hard and thick that they can withstand rat attacks. It can rodent-proof both threshold gaps of single and double doors and astragal gaps of double doors. The RodeXit weatherstrip’s efficacy has been scientifically established by independent and accredited test institutions, the manufacturer says.

FLIR Systems
www.flir.comFLIR Systems announced two moisture meters with Bluetooth wireless connectivity: the FLIR MR59 Ball Probe Moisture Meter and the FLIR MR55 Pin Moisture Meter. The company says these accurate, easy-to-use inspection tools offer pest control, moisture remediation, home or building inspection, and floor installation professionals the ability to read moisture measurements from a mobile device.
The MR59 is a pinless moisture meter, unique for its ball probe sensor, which helps users cover larger areas in a shorter time. The ball probe makes it easy to measure in corners, over uneven surfaces, and around baseboards without leaving marks, FLIR says. The MR59 can help detect moisture below a surface when there is no visible presence.
The MR55 is a pin meter with a built-in library of 11 material groups: wood, drywall, concrete, brick and other building materials. The user can tune the meter to the most appropriate test material to improve measurement accuracy. Professionals also can access a material group reference document by using a smartphone device to scan a QR code on the back of the meter.
The new moisture meters will be available for purchase in the United States beginning in mid-September through FLIR distributors.
WorkWave
www.workwave.com/route-managerWorkWave announced the launch of WorkWave Route Manager’s new user interface that combines the power of route planning and GPS tracking all into one screen, allowing for increased flexibility in response to customer demands, more streamlined operations and dashboard customization to fit specific customer needs, the company says.
Previously users would have to toggle between two separate interfaces to manage and plan routes, while also aiming to gain transparency into field operations through GPS tracking. Customers can now experience a more seamless workflow while gaining real-time insights to help better inform business decisions, WorkWave reports. The new interface leverages state-of-the-art technology and guarantees even more stability to ensure WorkWave is able to grow with its customers, while also empowering them to keep up with their customers’ ever-evolving demands, the company says. WorkWave Route Manager users currently experience an increase in efficiency of up to 30 percent, while fleets with GPS can see up to a 15 percent decrease in labor costs, or a three- to five-time return on the investment for purchasing GPS, the company says.
The new interface allows users to:
- Gain real-time insight on-demand with Navigo. Navigo is WorkWave Route Manager’s new menu tool that holds all information in one place, on one screen and allows users to replan as they see fit.
- Experience a more seamless workflow. Users can now move around with ease without having to jump into separate programs or use several windows. With GPS tracking now right within the map view, access to live information is even more integrated. Users can extract the map and drag to a second screen to make better use of the interface’s real estate while working across multiple screens.
- WorkWave says not only are customers empowered with the ability to drag-and-drop orders or make last minute changes, but users can also create a personal view to easily manage daily trips — including the ability to show, hide and reduce orders or routes from view, as well as color-code specific regions.
