AP&G
https://catchmasterpro.comAP&G Co. announced the launch of its new Ovi-Planter Mosquito Trap. The technology and design behind Ovi-Planter were inspired by the Catchmaster Ovi-Catch Mosquito Trap developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Ovi-Catch received the 2021 Federal Lab Consortium Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer.
The Ovi-Planter’s attractive design helps it fit discreetly into almost any residential or commercial environment, the company says. The trap targets female mosquitoes, using their breeding habits against them. Studies show that each female caught eliminates up to 1,000 future mosquitoes, making it an ideal choice to monitor and reduce mosquito populations, the manufacturer says. The product fits well into a monthly service schedule, lending itself well to PMPs’ offerings, AP&G adds.
“One of our core values at Catchmaster is ‘Customer Centric,’” said Stan Cope, Ph.D., vice president, Technical Products and Services. “In this case, we listened to our customers who loved the Ovi-Catch but wanted something a bit more pleasing to the eye. Voila! The Ovi-Planter!”
The Catchmaster Ovi-Catch Mosquito Trap is available through most industry distributors.
SenSci
https://bit.ly/3sOSiuySenSci launched its new and redesigned products for 2021, including the SenSci Pyramid Pitfall Trap, SenSci ActivCR and redesigned SenSci Volcano.
“We’re thrilled to bring another product to market and that we’re able to branch out beyond bed bug products with our new SenSci Pyramid Pitfall Trap,” said President Robert DiJoseph. “In addition to the Pyramid, the new SenSci ActivCR delivers a more controlled release that fits seamlessly within the redesigned SenSci Volcano bottom.”
The SenSci Pyramid Pitfall Trap is a unique combination of a sticky trap and pitfall trap within one, easy-to-use device, SenSci reports. Featuring a cardboard outside, slick laminate insides and a sticky “pit,” the device allows bed bugs and cockroaches to climb up the device and fall onto the glue.
In addition to the SenSci Pyramid, the SenSci Activ bed bug lure received a new look and name for 2021. Featuring a new, bullet design developed by Insects Limited, the new SenSci ActivCR lure includes a new controlled release system that is easier to use and seamlessly fits into the new SenSci Volcano bottoms.
“By partnering with Insects Limited, we were able to put our lure into their bullet delivery system,” White said. “This allowed the ActivCR, which the ‘CR’ in the name means ‘controlled release,’ a better delivery system that dramatically reduces the human error when using the product. No more tearing or ripping the package open.”
White said the partnership was a success and the two companies are pleased with the product they have created together.
“Insects Limited has been a great partner during the entire process,” he said. “We were able to significantly improve the ease of using the Activ lure while still maintaining its effectiveness.”
White said the ActivCR vial will easily clip into the cavity of the new SenSci Volcano bottoms and can be removed by placing a pointed instrument into the opening of the side and pushing up.
Woodstream
www.dynatrap.comWoodstream recently introduced the DynaTrap line of mosquito and flying insect traps. Woodstream says DynaTrap operates economically 24/7 and is quick and easy to set up and service.
Traps are available in sizes to protect up to one-quarter of an acre using the DT160, one-half acre with DT1100 and 1 acre with DT2000XLP. DynaTrap attracts insects using a powerful UV-emitting fluorescent bulb, plus CO2 (carbon dioxide) that is automatically produced via an exclusive photocatalytic reaction, the company says. Once lured to the trap, a whisper-quiet fan draws insects into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die. DynaTrap is built with durable all-weather construction, making this an ideal add-on to a pest management company’s service, Woodstream adds.
Rascal Eradicator
www.rascaleradicator.comThe patented, EPA-registered Rascal Eradicator double hose carbon monoxide dispenser kills prairie dogs, gophers, moles and other burrowing pests. The company says pest management professionals like how easy it is to use, how easy the large red wagon-sized cart moves in fields and neighborhoods (an ATV hitch available), its double hose efficiency, simplicity and the high, first-time completion rate.
This unit can be used in pastures, alfafa and hay fields, golf courses, private homes, estates, nursing homes, schools greenways, and city and county government locations.
The manufacturer says the unit is made with top-quality steel and heavy-duty hoses; the unit’s large casters make a “one-handed haul” possible.
Coxreels
www.coxreels.comCoxreels features a complete line of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) hose reels built on the all-steel construction SH and T Series of reels. These reels are equipped with a stainless steel external full-flow swivel and chemical-resistant Viton seals to provide a reliable DEF dispensing solution available with a factory-installed, high-quality Goodyear DEF hose. The swivel is easy to access for simple seal maintenance and fast DEF dispenser hose installation, the company says.
Coxreels provides professional reeling systems in heavy-duty single pedestal (SH Series) or supreme-duty dual pedestal (T Series) configurations that handle DEF hoses up to 75 feet of ¾ inch hose. Both designs are outfitted with Super Hub dual axle support systems to increase stability and reduce vibration during operation, making these reels ideal for DEF handling solutions for either stationary or rugged mobile applications.
The DEF models are available in standard spring retraction and EZ-Coil controlled retraction systems that promote greater operator and workplace safety by retracting up to 80 percent slower than conventional reels. This DEF reel line has all the durable, high-quality components and superior finishes found in every Coxreels product, the company says.
Coxreels says the firm takes great pride in designing, building, and supporting each and every product made exclusively in the United States.
