Paraclipse
Paraclipse’s new Fruit Fly Patrol combines a UVA light designed for fruit fly intensity preference along with insect decoys and chemical attractants, all specifically chosen to attract and capture fruit flies while its attractive enclosure is stylish enough for use in restaurants, nightclubs and other public spaces, the firm says.
Fruit Fly Patrol uses the proprietary Paraclipse Capture Cartridge, which lasts longer than competitive products and is clean and easy to replace, the manufacturer says. The product is certified for use in food service areas and is both UL Listed and CE Compliant. Fruit Fly Patrol may be ordered immediately from Paraclipse distributors in the United States and will be available internationally later this year.
Syngenta Professional Pest Management
Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2015, qualifying purchases of Syngenta Professional Pest Management products will count towards the 2016 PestPartners 365 Early Order Period (Jan. 1-April 30, 2016). Instead of four months of qualification time, PMPs now have even more time to reach the minimum qualifying rebate needed to participate in this year-long savings program.
“The PestPartners 365 program is an innovative way for PMPs to maximize their buying power,” says Pat Willenbrock, head of marketing, Professional Pest Management, for Syngenta in North America. “By offering extra time to work toward 2016 program qualification, PMPs who were just below the minimum qualification needed last year have a better chance of becoming a member in 2016. And, PMPs who qualified in 2015 have more time to achieve a higher rebate level for next year.”
Current PestPartners 365 Program members will continue to earn 2015 rebates on qualifying purchases made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2015. In addition, qualifying purchases made during this time will count toward members’ program qualification in 2016. PMPs who did not participate in the 2015 program can take advantage of the fall offer to start working toward the minimum qualifying rebate needed for program participation in 2016.
As part of the fall offer, Syngenta also announced extended payment terms for the following products:
- Demand CS insecticide Master Shipper (24, 1-quart bottles in a case)
- Demand CS + Archer insect growth regulator Multipak
- Tandem insecticide 2-quart bottle
PMPs will have until July 6, 2016, to submit payment for any purchases of these three product offerings made between Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2015.
Lorien Instruments
The rugged PROTEK II Drill Interrupter stops power to a rotary hammer drill instantly upon bit contact with grounded metal piping, conduit or reinforcement steel during concrete drilling operations. The PROTEK II is used extensively by termite control specialists to avoid drilling into metal conduit and piping, the firm says.
The PROTEK II Drill Interrupter helps prevent damage to grounded metal pipes, conduit and reinforcement steel. It also reduces bit breakage, Lorien Instruments says. A grounded, three-wire drill is recommended. The manufacturer says the Interrupter includes the following high-capacity, heavy-duty components:
- Sturdy, cast-aluminum housing
- Built-in ground fault interrupter
- Rated at 13 amps, 110-120v
- One year parts and labor warranty
Coxreels
Coxreels has introduced oversized rollers for manual and motorized hose reels. These rollers keep the hose entering the reel protected during unwind and rewind. Guide rollers prevent the hose from jumping over the disk of the reel and are beneficial when the hose is deployed to a direction other than directly forward of the reel. Coxreels’ newest oversized rollers are ideal for the most rugged applications requiring a more robust roller, as the oversized 1.5-inch rollers can withstand larger impacts and loading, the firm says. Coxreels says the oversized rollers are also especially useful on wider drum reels where the rollers span a larger distance.
The oversized roller accessory is available in open and closed configurations. The closed configurations, called 4-way, have rollers on four sides and capture the hose in the middle, while open configurations, called 3-way, have rollers on three sides and the hose can be lifted out at any time. The oversized rollers are assembled to heavy-duty steel brackets, which also are available separately for customers to mount to cabinet openings or on remote bracket locations. The oversized rollers ride on permanently lubricated bearings and require no maintenance, as the high-grade stainless steel is chemical and corrosion resistant.
Pride Bodies
Pride Bodies, a North American supplier of service bodies, has achieved a 200-pound weight reduction in its mechanics bumper using aluminum instead of steel. Aluminum reduces weight and fuel costs and provides a material that will withstand the ravages of salt and liquid calcium chloride. Pride Bodies continues to advance its aluminum service bodies by providing features that allow pest management professionals to carry a full complement of accessories along with a full payload of products. The aluminum bodies also can reduce the truck class while increasing the payload, the manufacturer says.
