Included in this month’s Rearview, is an update on North Carolina State University’s work with robotic cockroaches. N.C. State researchers have developed a combination of software and hardware that will allow them to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and insect cyborgs, or biobots, to map large, unfamiliar areas — such as collapsed buildings after a disaster. One of the experiments they’ve done involves using Hexbugs which illustrates NCSU’s dynamic topological mapping approach by herding a swarm of agents. More States Give CEU Approval To PCT’s Label Training Program
Arizona and New Jersey are the latest states to approve CEU credits for PCT’s online label training program, bringing the total number of states that have approved the courses for continuing education credits or units to eight. A number of training directors have found that these online courses complement other CEU opportunities in their states. Visit https://training.pctonline.com to get started.
