PCT Launches 16th Annual Photo Contest

PCT announces the call for entries for our 16th annual Best Pest Photo Contest. The contest is your chance to be recognized alongside your peers for having taken one of the best photographs in the pest control industry. Photos will be judged on the three Cs: color, clarity and content. The winning photographer will receive $500. In addition to the photo, please provide:

  • Identification of the pest
  • Location of where the photo was taken
  • Anything else unique about the photo or circumstance under which it was taken

*Important note: There is a limit of one photo per entrant.

Last year’s winning photo: an acorn weevil under the leaves of a catalpa tree. Photo was taken by Ed Freytag, senior entomologist at the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board.

Video: Hollywood Bug Guys on ‘The Gong Show’

PCT recently profiled twin brothers Jeffrey and Jason Linford, pest control owners/partners and entertainers who have made a name for themselves as the twin-fiddling Hollywood Bug Guys. The duo recently appeared on “The Gong Show,” fiddling to Britney Spears’ “Toxic” while dancing, costumed cockroaches crept up on them. Although the duo did not win, they scored well with judges and did not get the dreaded gong! Watch.
