Video: Yellow Jacket Nest Removals

Bee removal specialist Eric “Critter” McCool recently removed two very large yellow jacket nests from structures. One yellow jacket nest measured 5 feet by 3 feet by 2 feet, and it was inside a roof. The other measured 7 feet by 3½ feet by 2 feet, and it was removed from a rooftop next to a bedroom window. Click to watch footage of these removals.

‘SuperFly’ Book Giveaway Winners Announced

The print version of June PCT included a New York Times reprint of a book review of “Super Fly: The Unexpected Lives of the World’s Most Successful Insects.” In this book, author Jonathan Balcombe explores flies’ social lives, idiosyncratic behavior and sensitivities to stimuli. PCT also held a giveaway of this book and randomly drew four winners from a pool of entries.
