Rose Pest Solutions, Troy, Mich., was named one of the Top Workplaces in Michigan for 2018 by the Detroit Free Press. Earning the distinct Top Workplaces honor puts Rose in elite company, as only 151 companies across the state made this year’s list. Selection is based solely on anonymous employee feedback that measured various aspects of Rose’s company culture, including benefits, company values and community support.
Dodson Pest Control, Lynchburg, Va., acquired Slagle Pest Control of Bristol, Tenn., previously owned by Diane and Bob Slagle. Slagle Pest Control has been in business since 1951. The Slagles said they are retiring to spend more time traveling. All Slagle Pest Control employees joined the Dodson team, with all seniority transferring from their years working for Slagle Pest Control.
Dayton’s Pest Control, Knoxville, Tenn., (below) recently was voted “Best of Knoxville” by readers of the Knoxville News Sentinel. The company was profiled as part of the newspaper’s special Knoxville Rocks section. In addition, Dayton’s was recognized as the best pest control company in City View magazine.
Modern Pest Services, Brunswick, Maine, announced its fourth acquisition in the state of Connecticut with its acquisition of Think GREEN Pest Control of Tolland, Conn. The company says Think GREEN has been a leader in both residential and commercial services for the last 10 years in Connecticut with its focus on green pest control. Think GREEN’s operations will move to Modern Pest Services’ New Haven branch.
Burns Pest Elimination, Phoenix, celebrated its 35th anniversary of providing service as Arizona’s largest family-owned and operated pest elimination company. The Burns family (owner Dave Burns, pictured above) began their business in October of 1983, and the company now serves the greater Phoenix area, Tucson and Las Vegas.
