JP Pest Services announced its acquisition of Moro Pest Management, a pest control company based in Pelham, N.H. Moro Pest Management was founded in 2002. JP Pest Services says the acquisition helps the firm cover more services within southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. As part of the acquisition, the former owner of Moro Pest Management, Tom Moro, will be joining JP Pest Services.

Miller Pest & Termite, Des Moines, Iowa, revamped its website, www.millerthekiller.com, to reach a larger segment of potential customers looking to rid their homes and businesses of bed bugs, termites and other pests. The website, which launched in April, is the company’s attempt to expand the market to women and those who are more squeamish with bugs by not including large, graphic pictures of insects and pests on its homepage. “Every single customer when we’re out, we’re asking them how they heard about us and it’s because of our website,” Joel Miller, operations manager for Miller Pest & Termite, said. “It’s not like the other ones they’ve noticed.”

City Wide Exterminating, Locust, N.C., was recently named the 2016 Small Business of the Year by the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce and Stanly Community College’s Small Business Center. City Wide was recognized for its growth, stability and involvement within the community. As one of three finalists, the company was presented the award May 5, in a ceremony at Stony Mountain Vineyards. “It is an honor to be chosen as the 2016 Small Business of the Year,” said Ashley Morrison, director of operations. “Our success comes from the hard work and determination of every person on our team.”

Inspect-All Services, a pest control and home inspection provider in metro Atlanta, announced its expansion to the state of Florida. The company has provided pest control and home inspection services in Greater Atlanta since 1984 and now offers these services in the Greater Jacksonville area. This is the company’s first branch outside of the state of Georgia.

Austin, Texas-based Pest Management, Inc., was in the national spotlight thanks to an appearance on the Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible series. The episode, which aired on May 23, showcased the company’s highly trained team of bed bug detection dogs, which were called upon to sniff out bed bugs at a Bossier City, La. hotel.

Blasingame Pest Management announced the acquisition of Webster Exterminators of McDonough, Ga. “We are very excited about this acquisition. Webster is a small, family-owned business that provides the same level of customer service that our customers expect,” said Billy Blasingame, owner and CEO of Blasingame Pest Management.

David Marshall, president and CEO of Arizona Pest Squad, was awarded the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Advocate of the Year award by the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council. The council presents eight awards each year to those who excel in growth and performance. Marshall was presented the award at the Annual Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council Awards Gala on May 6.

Allgood Pest Solutions cut the ribbon at its first ITP Atlanta location earlier this year. Located in the Doraville neighborhood in Atlanta, Ga., this new Doraville branch provides easy access to I-85, I-285 and Highway 400, enabling Allgood Pest Solutions technicians to better serve customers living in-town. The new Doraville branch is fully equipped to offer Allgood home pest control services for more than 80 pests as well as the company’s wildlife control and certified commercial pest control teams.
