Arrow Exterminators, Atlanta, Ga., acquired Orlando, Fla.-based Lewis Cobb Pest Control. Founded in 1946 and run by brothers Roger, Rick and Randy Lewis, Lewis Cobb Pest Control’s 20 team members will be joining the Arrow family. The company will operate under the Stark Exterminators brand, complementing Arrow’s 28 other offices in Florida. Greg Clendenin of The Clendenin Consulting Group acted as adviser to Lewis Cobb Pest Control.

Bug Out, a subsidiary of Environmental Pest Service, acquired Brooksville, Fla.-based Bray’s Pest Control and A-1 Termite & Pest Control — subsidiaries of S & W Cole. Both acquired companies, of which 40 employees will be joining Bug Out, have offered residential and commercial services for more than 37 years. Bug Out, which was founded in 1963, provides termite and pest control and lawn care services in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.

Ehrlich Pest Control joined forces with Military Makeover with Montel in which the company participated in remodeling the home belonging to the family of Christopher Hixon, a U.S. Navy veteran and teacher who died in a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. Ehrlich provided a comprehensive home inspection and customized pest assessment, installed a termite baiting and monitoring system and completed a pre-move in general pest control service. Military Makeover with Montel airs on Lifetime Television and is hosted by talk show host and military advocate Montel Williams.

Reno, Nev.-based Pestmaster Services announced six new franchise openings in Santa Fe, N.M.; Fort Worth and San Antonio, Texas; Philadelphia and Mt. Pocono, Pa.; and Chicago. Founded in 1979 by Jeff Van Diepen, Pestmaster Services has 42 service locations in 16 states and the District of Columbia, and the company recently expanded into the international market.

Orlando-based Massey Services purchased Ambush Termite & Pest Control, which provides pest control and termite services to the Columbia, S.C., area. Massey entered South Carolina in 2015 and has service center locations in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville.

Washington-based Certus acquired Strategic Pest Control of Southwest Florida in March 2020. Strategic was founded by Corey Deno in 2007 and serves customers throughout Southwest Florida.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Waynes Pest Control continued its expansion into Tennessee with the acquisition of Priority Pest, headquartered in Mt. Juliet.

Hulett Environmental Services, West Palm Beach, Fla., introduced a new commercial this spring featuring a flashback to some iconic Hulett commercials. Hulett has served South Florida residents for more than 50 years and has started offering disinfecting services.
