Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators announced the merger and acquisition of Jacksonville-based Florida Pest Management, founded in 1983 by John Sims. The transaction further strengthens Arrow’s presence in Northeast Florida and expands its reach to more residential and commercial customers west of the St. Johns River. Florida Pest Management will join the other Arrow Exterminators office in the greater Jacksonville area and will ultimately operate as Nader’s Pest Raiders, an Arrow Exterminators company.
Clean-Environ Pest Management of Singapore was acquired by Anticimex of Sweden. Founded in 1991, Clean-Environ Pest Management provides commercial and residential pest control services. Founded in 1934 in Sweden, Anticimex operates in 17 countries with about 4,000 people. Total revenues in 2015 amounted to about $450 million. Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Company acted as the sole and exclusive valuation and M&A adviser to Clean-Environ Pest Management. In 2014 Potomac entered the Asia Pacific region and currently provides valuation, strategy and M&A advice to pest control companies in Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea and Australia. Potomac, based in Philadelphia, covers Asia and the Middle East, among other areas, through its operations in Switzerland.
Greensboro-based Terminix of the Triad in North Carolina donated to the Greensboro Science Center to help fund its new project WunderWord: Denizens of the Dark. It is an experience that aims to entertain and educate visitors on the intriguing and misunderstood creatures and life beneath the Earth’s surface. Within WunderWorld is “Tomb of the Gaboon,” a gallery that explores the complex life of creepy crawlers such as bugs, bats, scorpions and snakes.
West Palm Beach-based Hulett Environmental Services acquired Collier Pest Control of Naples, Fla. The 20-employee, family-owned and -operated Collier was owned and operated by Phil Hadley since its opening in 1990.
In honor of Veterans Day, Sun Prairie, Wis.-based Wil-Kil Pest Control had a month-long recognition campaign to honor its armed forces employees who fought for our country. Wil-Kil recognized these men and women and thanked them for their support. The company also sponsored the Green Bay Gamblers junior ice hockey team’s 5th Annual Military Appreciation Night in November. The event raises funds for the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans.
