Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators recently opened three new offices in Fairhope, Ala.; Theodore, Ala.; and Fort Worth, Texas. The Fairhope office will service residential accounts with a focus on pest and termite control, while the Theodore office, which will be known as the Gulf Coast Home Service Center, will provide specialized home services, including wildlife exclusion, handyman and insulation services. The Fort Worth commercial office will offer a wide range of commercial pest control services to accommodate the rapid growth of large and small businesses in the area. “Being a family-owned and operated company for 57 years, we value family and the community,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, Arrow CEO. “Our passion is one of the key components of not only providing exceptional service to our customers, but also being involved in their communities as well. We look forward to expanding in these markets with our focus on exceptional customer service and sustainability.”
Fox Pest Control, Logan, Utah, awarded Delia Cote, a student at the University of New England, a $2,000 scholarship for her dedication to helping individuals in the Manchester, N.H., area. Cote was one of more than 60 applicants nationwide who shared submissions detailing their experiences of service in their communities. While volunteering for Hope for NH Recovery, a nonprofit that helps people with substance abuse issues recover, Cote and her father created the Post-It Project. To make each person in recovery feel loved and appreciated, they purchased close to 600 Post-It notes, wrote inspirational messages on them and posted them over three walls. Cote wrote a separate note of instruction next to the display: “Take what you need or leave one behind.” Since that day, the walls have grown with notes from visitors seeking help and encouragement. “It was such an impactful project, and I believe it has a lot of potential in any area,” she said. “You never know what anybody’s going through, what they’re dealing with, or maybe they’re just having a rough day. It’s just something that they need.”
Viking Pest Control, Basking Ridge, N.J., opened a new office in Dallas, Pa. The company currently covers a four-state region that includes parts of Pennsylvania. The Dallas office enables the company to increase its service area in the state, expanding to Cumberland, Franklin, York, Lackawanna, Snyder and Luzerne counties. This office also will service the following cities: Carlisle, Chambersburg, Hanover, Dickson City, Selinsgrove, Whitehall, White Haven, Wyomissing, Dallas, Tamaqua, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Mountaintop, Pittston, Hazleton, Bloomsburg and Tunkhannock. “We are delighted to be able to widely extend our current services in Pennsylvania,” said PMP Eric Gunner.
