Viking Termite & Pest Control, Warren, N.J., announced the acquisition of Merlin’s Pest Control. Merlin’s serviced both commercial and residential customers throughout New Jersey. Dave Castro, founder of Merlin’s Pest Control, will be retiring and says he is pleased that his employees, including his son, will remain with Viking. Merlin’s Pest Control was represented by PCO Bookkeepers in this transaction.
Safer Home Services announced the opening of the company’s first franchise location in Tyrone, Ga., a southwestern suburb of Atlanta. The Atlanta-area franchise will be owned and operated by Bob Benbow of Peachtree City, Ga. Benbow has more than 28 years in the pest and termite industry and was a former colleague of Jim Swayne and Chuck Steinmetz at Sears Authorized Termite & Pest Control where he was the Southeast Region manager.
Bingham’s Professional Pest Management, St. Petersburg, Fla., recently acquired Sun Pest Control, a company that has served St. Petersburg for more than 37 years. Third-generation co-owner Bob Bingham says the family and crew take pride that they have served the Tampa Bay Area for more than 60 years. “The connection we have with our customers is derived from the fact that they are our neighbors.”
