Viking Pest Control, Basking Ridge, N.J., announced the acquisition of RID Pest Control, Egg Harbor Township, N.J. RID has provided residential pest control services covering Cape May and Atlantic counties since 1979. Paul Bergmann, Viking president, said, “Acquiring RID is an important step in increasing our growth and expanding our customer footprint in the southern part of our service territory. Partnering with pest control providers like RID solidifies Viking as the leading pest control provider in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware region.” The Potomac Company represented RID Pest Control as exclusive financial adviser on the transaction.

American Pest Control, Athens, Ga., created a yearlong Operation 50-50 campaign to celebrate its 50th anniversary. It started last November with the company completing a community service project, “50 Hours in 50 Days.” The “50 Miles in 50 Days” project began in January, encouraging community members to walk or run a total of 50 miles in as many days. All $20 registration fees were donated to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.

Massey Services helped develop a health, safety and sanitation plan for the Cheez-It and Vrbo Citrus bowls at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. As part of an enhanced stadium cleaning, Massey disinfected the building’s high-traffic areas using its BioAssured process to treat indoor spaces and high-touchpoint surfaces from elevator buttons to escalator handrails. The treatment extended to operational spaces, including on-site locker rooms and other team facilities.

NaturZone, Sarasota, Fla., announced that after a record-breaking year, it will become an annual giving partner to Feeding Tampa Bay. NaturZone Managing Partner Andrew Longfellow said, “We want to give back to those in need and our partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay seemed like the perfect fit. We are impressed that 98 cents of every dollar donated goes to helping those in need.”

Black Diamond Pest Control opened its newest branch in Columbus, Ind. It offers services including general pest, termite, bed bug and wildlife control to residential and commercial clients in Monroe, Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Lawrence, Jackson and Jennings Counties. Clayton Ratts (right), serves as branch manager. He was hired by the company’s pest control division in February 2019.
