Prestige Pest Services, founded in summer 2014 in Hawthorne, N.J., is celebrating its seventh year in business. Favio Ulloa and his wife Karol (pictured at left) started the firm using a secondhand truck to serve the local towns of New Jersey. Today, PPS provides residential and commercial pest control services in New Jersey, New York, Brooklyn, Bayside, Queens and the Bronx. The Ulloas, Ecuadorian natives, immigrated to New Jersey in 2000, where they enrolled in a full-time community college and learned English as a second language while holding jobs that taught them customer service and sales skills. Favio Ulloa said, “Our hard work, dedication and unwavering commitment to customer service excellence has been Prestige Pest Services’ recipe for customer retention and expansion.”

JP McHale Pest Management, Buchanan, N.Y., recently acquired Premier Pest Control, Southampton, N.Y., along with its partner organizations, North Shore Exterminating of Cutchogue, N.Y., and Target Pest Control and Tick Masters of Southampton, N.Y. Premier has provided residential and commercial pest management services to Long Island since 1996. John Bennett Jr., Premier president, said, “The partnership with JP McHale Pest Management is outstanding news for our clients and employees. With JP McHale Pest Management offering clients the most innovative pest management solutions like SMART, everyone will enjoy the best and most advanced products, methods and services on the market. NaturZone Pest Control, Sarasota, Fla., won the Best of Tampa Bay Award in the pest control services category for the 12th consecutive year. Companies were honored for their achievements in the areas of commitment to their workforce and contributions to the local economy. Rentokil North America, Reading, Pa., acquired Nova Scotia-based company Target Pest Control earlier this year. “It’s an honor to welcome Target Pest Control to the Rentokil family,” said John Myers, president and CEO of Rentokil North America. “We look forward to continuing their legacy of customer service in the Nova Scotia market with residential and commercial pest control services.” Target has served the metro Halifax, Bedford and Lower Sackville communities in Nova Scotia for more than 10 years.


Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators was named a 2021 Top Workplace by HR technology company Energage for the fourth consecutive year. Arrow was voted the No. 4 top workplace in the country, its first national recognition. In its local markets, Arrow was named the No. 2 top workplace in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and Hughes Exterminators, an Arrow Exterminators brand, was named a top workplace in Tampa by the Tampa Bay Times for the first time. Arrow CEO Emily Thomas Kendrick (pictured) received the Top Workplaces USA Woman-Led Culture Excellence Award and the AJC Large Company Leadership Award.

 

The Aust Group announced that its client, Pest Solutions, Beaverton, Ore., was acquired by Terminix, Memphis, Tenn. Eric Ufer founded Pest Solutions in 2011 after seeing the need for dependable pest control as a rental property owner. Ufer and his team adopted the slogan “Green As Can Be” to emphasize the firm’s eco-friendly approach. After a decade in the industry, Ufer built the company into a leading commercial pest control operation in the greater Portland, Ore., area. The Aust Group represented Pest Solutions as the exclusive financial adviser on the transaction.
