FMC Professional Solutions announced that its Cynoff insecticide dust is now registered for use by PMPs in California.

Cynoff dust is designed to deliver control of bed bugs and other persistent pests in such areas as cracks, crevices and voids. The product contains zeta-cypermethrin, a new active ingredient designed for quick kill and long-lasting residual control. Cynoff dust also contains PBO, a synergist used to increase speed of knockdown and reduce the likelihood of resistance to pyrethroids, according to FMC.

Engineered with an anti-clumping formula and good float properties, Cynoff dust is designed to provide even insecticide coverage wherever it is applied, the company says. The product is available in a unique 16-ounce container which can be used to apply the dust or to fill other application equipment.

BASF says the SmartSolution is for PMPs who require quick results and effective long-term control. For example, the company points out, commercial kitchens often provide perfect habitats for cockroaches given their many voids, cracks and crevices. The SmartSolution offers an array of products that can be applied in these tight, hidden areas, along with inspection tips on how to break a large facility down into smaller sections to help determine which product is the best to use in each of its various micro-habitats.

Nevr-Rust Tool Tainer pickup truck boxes are molded from tough, heavy-duty polyethylene plastic and built to withstand temperatures to -40°F, the company says. The manufacturer says its Tool Tainer II and II-L will never rust, dent, corrode or need painting. The lid seals to the box with a keyed tongue and groove lip and is designed to keep the user’s toolbox dry and dust-free. There are no hinges, springs or weather stripping to break or wear out, or sharp metal edges to catch on clothes or scrape arms, Rotonics says.

The Tool Tainer is designed to be 50 percent deeper than conventional truck boxes and is available in two sizes to fit compact and full-size trucks, long and short bed. It can be mounted directly behind the cab or at the tailgate.
