BASF’s new Termidor DRY Termiticide is designed to control drywood and subterranean termites, in virtually any wood, almost anywhere. BASF is also offering a Termidor DRY Starter Kit containing one applicator, two vials of Termidor Dry and a branded carrying case.
According to BASF, Termidor DRY has a patented Microllose-based formulation. The product is designed for use on gallery treatments inside structures and on new off-structure treatment sites, including trees, utility poles, fencing, decking, railroad trestles, piers, beams and other structural or landscape timbers.
The company says Termidor DRY looks and tastes good to termites. Microllose is the BASF purified microcrystalline cellulose matrix, an extremely appetizing food source, BASF says. Termidor DRY comes in small, prepackaged, ready-to-use vials, which generally treat two to three average-sized houses depending on termite infestation, the company says. Applied with precision directly to termite galleries in wood (or carton nests or shelter tubes) or away from structures, Termidor DRY is designed to quickly kill termites and is transferred among termites via the Termidor “Transfer Effect.”

InVade Hot Spot cans, from Rockwell Labs Ltd, are now available with a 24-inch extension tube. The flexible extension tubes are designed to easily apply foam around corners, deep down drains or into tight spaces. Hot Spot still comes with the same 360-degree valve and fan spray actuator, making it easy to coat scummy surfaces, the company says. Now, two extension tube actuators are included in each case. The standard actuator is popped off and the extension tube actuator is snapped on in its place. The hose extensions are also available to purchase individually.
InVade Hot Spot is a probiotic foaming cleaner that contains premium, natural, scum-eating, odor-eliminating microbes and no harsh chemicals or odors, Rockwell says. The thick foam is designed to cling to surfaces as it slowly dissipates. The company says Hot Spot is ideal for carrying along on a quick service call or leaving behind as an add-on sale.

The product can be used indoors and outdoors to control this pest. The company said it has been tracking the introduction and rapid spread of the brown marmorated stink bug and kudzu bug into the United States from China and has found that similar Lambdastar formulations sold for crop protection are good control agents versus stink bug species.
