Braman’s Vegas Wins ‘Ant-Man’ Shirt from PCT
Randy Vegas, Southern Connecticut Supervisor for Braman Termite & Pest, was announced as the winner of PCT’s recent “Ant-Man” t-shirt giveaway. In recognition of this summer’s blockbuster ant-themed movie, PCT held a contest and his name was randomly drawn from a pool of entrants.
A 28-year industry veteran, Vegas has been at Braman for almost four years and his responsibilities include overseeing five service professionals, troubleshooting, audits, routing and various office tasks. “I like the fact that we provide a beneficial service in terms of public safety and health,” he said. “Ours is an industry with tangible and rewarding results.”
Although Vegas hasn’t seen “Ant-Man” yet, it is on his “To See” list. His favorite pest-related movie is “Mousehunt,” which also fared well in a recent PCT survey (see Reader Poll results). “The ‘Mousehunt’ casting of Christopher Walken as an exterminator was great,” he said. “I am a big fan of his. It was also hilarious to see the lengths the two main characters go to, to kill one mouse. While not as blatant, I’ve seen some pretty strange efforts by people to rid themselves of mice and other pests. They usually fail, occasionally making things worse, and then they need to call in the pros.” — Brad Harbison
