Rare Earth Elements Statements False
In regards to the December 2012 article “Shedding Light On Rare Earth Elements,” PCT and its readers should check out the BL phoshor found in UV lamps like the Osram Sylvania F40/350BL/ECO, F20/350BL/ECO and F15T8/350BL/ECO. I believe PCT’s assertion that high-quality ILT lamps cannot be made without rare earth elements to be false.

Not only do these lamps not include Europium (or other rare earths), and despite false and misleading advertising claims made for other lamps for decades, the superior phosphor for ILT lamps has remained the same for five decades, since my father, Don Gilbert, pioneered the industry in the 1960s. Appreciate the Coverage

I wanted to say thanks for “Future Leader” in the September 2012 issue of PCT. It looks amazing and I’ve got to admit, it’s an amazing feeling to read about yourself in such a remarkably positive way! I was hoping maybe I could get a couple copies for my parents. Thanks again, PCT!
