Liphatech

www.liphatech.com

Liphatech’s reformulated BlueMax bait is now available to PMPs in Canada. Liphatech created BlueMax for use in areas where durability and weatherability are paramount, and recently reformulated it for increased palatability. The product is designed to withstand weather extremes and areas that are high in moisture, and is useful in audited facilities because of the minimal cleanup needed, the company said. Each mini block contains the Liphatech-exclusive active ingredient, difethialone, which works in a single feeding for quick results, the company reports.

Rockwell Labs

www.rockwelllabs.com

New CimeXa Insecticide Dust from Rockwell Labs is now registered in New York. CimeXa kills bed bug adults, nymphs and nymphs hatched from dusted eggs, including pyrethroid-resistant bed bugs, the company said. It also controls fleas, ticks, lice, roaches, ants, firebrats, silverfish, spiders and mites, and may be used for the prevention and treatment of drywood termites. CimeXa is odorless, non-staining, non-repellent and lasts up to 10 years when undisturbed. The broad label allows the product to be applied to cracks and crevices, voids, mattresses, carpets, pet resting areas, attics and many other locations. It also can be mixed with water and applied as a spray. The engineered silica-based dust absorbs water (in liquid form) and oil, destroying the insect’s waxy cuticle, causing rapid dehydration and death. CimeXa is packaged in quart-size bottles which hold 4 ounces of dust and 5 gallon buckets that hold 5 pounds. The standard usage rate is 2 ounces per 100 square feet. CimeXa is available through distributors, but is not yet registered in California.

Dig Defence

www.digdefence.com

Dig Defence Animal Control Commercial Grade Barrier, available through Wildlife Control Supplies, is a new below-ground barrier that permanently fixes wildlife problems that had previously demanded repeated trapping and relocation of animals. Dig Defence is a 4-foot wide, 15-inch tall fence made of four-gauge galvanized steel; each prong is 1.5 inches apart. It prevents animals like raccoons, opossums, foxes, ground hogs, armadillos and dogs from burrowing underground and gaining access to unwanted areas. In addition, the Dig Defence Animal Control Commercial Grade Installation Tool — made of 16-gauge steel, square tubing; TIG welding; and rust-resistant paint — has been designed for Dig Defence installation. The installer places the tool’s hollow channel over the Dig Defence prongs, then hammers down on the tall handle to drive the Dig Defence into the ground. The tool includes a stainless steel retaining pin so the top half can come off for portability.
