Central Life Sciences

Zenivex adulticide from Central Life Sciences received approval from the EPA for mosquito control efforts over cropland and pastureland. (California, Florida and New York state registrations are pending.) Zenivex contains a unique type of pyrethroid (Etofenprox) and does not contain PBO, the company said, adding that it is a non-ester pyrethroid, which makes it effective against adult mosquitoes (including those resistant to organophosphates). As a result of the approval, Zenivex may now be applied by ground or aerial application over crops or to areas where drift over cropland could occur.
The crop approval applies to both Zenivex E20 and Zenivex E4 RTU, which are oil-based formulations designed for use in ultra-low volume (ULV) applications. With the active ingredient Etofenprox, the product provides quick, permanent knockdown of adult mosquitoes, the firm said.

Xcluder said it unveiled a new logo and package design to better reflect its growing range of pest control solutions. Launched in 2007 as a steel wool-based exclusion material for pest control professionals, the Xcluder brand has expanded to include a more comprehensive set of pest control products: rodent-proof door sweeps, rodent-proof garage door and dock leveler seals, Xcluder Geo and the Xcluder Consumer DIY Kit. Xcluder’s patented combination of stainless steel and poly-fiber creates a permanent barrier against rats, mice and other pests, the firm reports.
Xcluder Door Sweeps and Seals, now available for residential and commercial applications, feature reinforced neoprene gaskets lined with Xcluder rodent-proof fill fabric. Xcluder Pest Control Door Sweeps are ideal for restaurants, food-processing facilities, hotels, schools, grocery stores and residences, and feature a sturdy aluminum retainer, stainless steel sheet metal screws and slotted screw holes for easy adjustment. The sweeps are easy to install and fit most common door sizes and types, the firm says. Xcluder Pest Control Door Seals and Dock Leveler Seals are designed to protect garage doors, overhead doors, roll-up doors and dock levelers, effectively sealing these common entry points and supporting Integrated Pest Management best practices. The seals are designed to fit standard T-style bottom retainers.
Xcluder Geo is a porous geotextile bound with non-corroding, coarse stainless steel fibers to create a permanent barrier against burrowing pests. The material installs under landscaping and allows grass and small plants to grow through. The Xcluder DIY Kit is now available to PMPs and consumers nationwide and includes four pieces of Xcluder fill fabric, sheers, protective neoprene gloves and easy-to-follow installation instructions.
The modernized Xcluder brand logo now appears on Xcluder’s pest barrier products. Xcluder is made in America.

Berner International
www.berner.com
Berner International Corp. has introduced the HL Series, a comprehensive line of air curtains designed for hazardous industrial environments. The HL Series is designed for petroleum refineries, food-processing and pharmaceutical plants, chemical facilities and compressed natural gas (CNG) bus garages.
Featuring numerous cabinet lengths and motor horsepower selections, the product line restricts energy losses and the infiltration of fumes, airborne contaminants and flying insects by separating indoor and outdoor environments at open industrial doorways. The HL Series construction is based on explosion-proof motors, spark-resistant fans, HL electrical components and construction, and other precautions required by ANSI/NFPA-70 National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations. Standard construction complies with Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups C and D for gases; and Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups F and G for dust. Optional construction is available for Groups A and B.
HL Series units are factory assembled in single-length units, from 3- to 16-foot-long cabinets that don’t require intermediate installation supports. The product line also features Berner’s proprietary explosion-proof motors ranging from 1/2 to 15 hp and heavy-duty blowers to protect doorway heights of 6 to 20 feet. Optional steam or hot-water coils with a 130°F to 180°F temperature range are available with custom-constructed ANSI/NFPA-70-compliant aluminum chassis.
