Green Drain

A solution to help eliminate odors and pests from floor drains

Diversified Sales & Marketing (DSM) is pleased to announce a new addition, Green Drain, to their line of products for the pest management professional and sold through distributors to the industry. Green Drain is an inline floor drain trap seal used in the outlet connections of floor drain bodies or the inside of floor drain strainers in commercial facilities such as restaurant kitchens, bars and food-processing facilities to help seal the drain opening to prevent odors, sewer gases and insects (like drain flies and fruit flies) from entering up through the floor drain. Green Drain’s four flexible silicone sealing ribs ensure easy installation into openings that may have variations in size and the silicone rubber sealing flapper will open to allow drainage and close when there is no water flow. The Green Drain can be used in either new construction or as a retrofit. Green Drain is available in 2”, 3”, 3.5” and 4” sizes. Other DSM product lines include DPI bath trap access panels and crawlspace doors and Noble Pine Products Sterifab, an insecticide, sanitizer and disinfectant.

Bed Bugs Beware: Heat Injector System™ Sets a New Standard for Heat Treatment!

The patented Heat Injector System was introduced into the industrial market in 2010 as the most energy-efficient method to heat air and has now been made portable to help pest control operators in their battle against bed bugs, and other pests that can be eradicated with heat (170°F max temp). The Portable Heat Injector™ was specifically designed to eradicate bed bug infestations on the first treatment. These unique features will produce the results that you are looking for:

  • Safe — Automatic Controls produce controlled discharge temperature to prevent damage; nothing gets warmer than the operator’s chosen discharge temperature. Motors and controls are located outside the heated environment.
  • Simple — Operates from any electrical outlet; no fans, generators, external ducts, high voltage wires or water lines are required.
  • Effective — Has immediate heat, can be used for any size structure with the ability to pressurize (forces heat through cracks when the structure is up to lethal temperatures), and can purge the heat when finished.
  • Energy Efficient — The design of the patented Heat Injector™ allows it to perform heat treatments for less than half the fuel of the competition.

Control Ticks at the Source of Lyme Disease

The Select TCS Tick Control System is an easy to use, low maintenance, highly effective treatment to reduce tick populations and the risk of contracting Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases.

Lyme disease is a serious and difficult to diagnose disease. In 2013 the CDC announced that there are about 300,000 cases diagnosed annually.

The tick boxes treat the primary hosts of the disease — chipmunks and white footed mice — with a small dose of fipronil. The ticks are killed during the critical larval and nymph stages when they contract the Lyme bacteria and other tick-borne diseases from small rodents. The child-resistant product, which interrupts the transmission cycle of Lyme disease, is EPA approved and will not harm rodents and wildlife.

Reduce tick populations by as much as 80% after just one year and by 97% after two years.

Our product is registered in 25 states plus the District of Columbia.

Only licensed professionals are authorized to install the Select TCS Tick Control System.

The Select TCS Tick Control System is available to the PCO directly from Tick Box Technology Corporation. Call to become a certified installer!

PMP Discovers Hex-Pro® is a Win-Win

Is your company interested in increasing retention, reducing labor and making customers happier? Triangle Pest Control in Raleigh, North Carolina, accomplished all three of these goals with the Hex-Pro® System. When their termite monitoring product was discontinued, Hex-Pro seemed like the way to go. And that decision has made a great impact on their business, says Jesse Rehm, chief operating officer.

Because Hex-Pro is both a monitoring and baiting system, the advantages outweigh termite monitoring alone. Since Triangle Pest Control bundles termite monitoring with general pest control, that used to mean sending out a termite technician to do a liquid termite treatment if mud tubes or other termite activity were found by the general pest control technician. Now, the technician who discovers feeding in the stations is the one who baits the station with Hex-Pro that same day, allowing for a quick solution to a potentially big problem.

“The benefit with Hex-Pro was that now we didn’t have to send the termite technician out to do a liquid spot treatment if there was evidence of termites in a station,” says Rehm. “With Hex-Pro, the technician can take care of the problem right there. It has completely eliminated having to make a second service call. So it’s really saving us money.”

According to Rehm, Triangle Pest decided to use the Hex-Pro® System over competing brands.

“When we put our Triangle Pest seal of protection on a home, we want to be 100 percent confident,” he explains. “Hex-Pro helps us do that. Many of our customers show hesitation when we mention the installation of a termite monitor. But once we show them how well the stations blend into their landscaping, it’s no problem at all. We also make a point to provide services that are reduced risk and protect our customers’ homes.”

While customers aren’t noticing much difference between the two products, Hex-Pro has definitely made a difference in his business, Rehm says.

“We have a higher retention rate with this service,” he says. “Hex-Pro gives us an extra line of defense so we can address the termite problem before it becomes a structural problem. We’re seeing the benefit of reducing the trips to the house for servicing and the customers are still getting the termite protection they want. It’s a win-win.”
