J.F. Oakes has improved the body design on its XLure Ready-To-Use (RTU) Multi-Species Beetle Floor Trap. The firm says the trap contains multiple pheromones and powerful food attractants for red and confused flour beetles, cigarette, warehouse and khapra beetles, plus 10 other stored product beetles and some psocids. The newly modified body now has a tab on the top, allowing the trap to be secured in place with a tether system. The tether system, also available from J.F. Oakes, will prevent removal of the trap by unauthorized personnel, providing enhanced security and preventing damage to the reusable trap, the company said. J.F. Oakes added the XLure RTU is an effective monitoring and trapping tool that is easy to use.

Pest Control Solutions
www.perimeterpestsystem.com
Pest Control Solutions, a firm based in Atlanta, has developed and patented chemical application appliances called The Perimeter Pest Control System. As part of this product line, a patented, reusable Chemical Injection Port has been developed for use on brick wall systems, suitable for residential and commercial properties.
Traditional brick walls have an enclosed gap between the exterior brick and the inner substrate with the moisture barrier. When installed, the Chemical Injection Port uses the pre-existing gap as a treatment zone to create a continuous chemical barrier around the exterior of a building by injection of a pesticide/termiticide foam. The ports can be installed on pre-existing buildings or during the construction process, and used in conjunction with existing treatments.
Pest management professionals can create a “free” sales force by utilizing mason contractors to sell and install the ports, which are installed by the mason contractor during the repair or installation of their customers’ brick wall system, the company said. In exchange for selling the injection ports to the masons at cost, masons can connect their customers with the PCO to purchase treatment services, Pest Control Solutions says. Normally the mason contractor would have a customer contact the pest management professional to discuss treatment options prior to installation of the ports. As an option, to make Perimeter Pest Control more attractive to mason contractors, PCOs could opt to provide them with the ports at no charge, the firm says.

www.nisuscorp.com
Nisus Corporation has announced the launch of DominAnt Liquid Ant Bait. DominAnt is a 5.4% borate-based liquid ant bait. It will be sold in gallons, pints and bait stations and be manufactured by Nisus Corporation. Nisus also will manufacture and package DominAnt in quart containers as a 1% borate-based liquid ant bait used primarily for large colony infestations (such as Argentine ants).
