For the Cash Back Rebate Program, PMPs purchase Essentria IC3, Essentria Broadcast Insecticide Aerosol or EcoPCO AR-X from their distributor between June 15 and Sept. 12, 2012; download the rebate form from the Envincio website; then mail it along with qualifying receipts to the address on the form. S-Methoprene 1.2% is an insect growth regulator in an emulsifiable concentrate formulation that is available in 16-ounce squeeze and measure bottles. B&G Equipment Company

www.bgequip.com

In May, B&G Equipment Co. rolled out its new Versaduster System, a precision electric duster designed to meet the needs of today’s pest control service protocols. The duster uses standard 110v electric service. When the trigger is squeezed, the machine delivers precision bursts of dust, the company said. Precise outputs of dust are metered by using the output adjustment knob located next to the valve trigger to dial in the amount of dust desired for application. Output adjusts from a fine dust suitable for cracks and crevices, to a heavier amount for wall voids.

The Versaduster System is a complete precision power dusting solution, the company said. It features a heavy-duty compressor, 40 feet of hose, quality brass valve, two dust containers and two tips. Owners of B&G’s Portable Aerosol System (PAS) and the Versafoamer 4000 can order the Versaduster Kit, which connects to either machine. The Versaduster Kit delivers all the benefits of the Versaduster System without the compressor.

Service Pro.net

www.theservicepro.net

Service Pro.net, developers of ServSuite pest control software, has added a document designer to the software. Now custom-made documents can be created in ServSuite for no additional cost, the company said.

To enable users to understand how to create, add or edit Document Designer Formats, ServSuite now includes some basic templates (such as state WDOs) in addition to the 20 hard-coded ServSuite forms. With the inclusion of the document designer feature, the user can use the information stored within the ServSuite database and merge it with the created document. There are also templates of different text documents within the document designer feature for those who only need a generic type of document.

The document designer feature saves time by eliminating the need to do any text editing outside the program, the company said. ServSuite users can receive this feature at no additional cost and it will be included in the core program and unlimited support package.

Bird Barrier

www.birdbarrier.com

Bird Barrier is now offering Bird-Off Gel in a 5-gallon pail. The company also introduced a system to refill a reusable 24-ounce caulking gun. Bird-Off is made from all natural ingredients (no polybutene) and won’t turn black over time. It contains white pepper, so when birds land on it, it sends a reinforcing message not to return, and, the company says, it is easy to clean up; in most cases, only soap and water are necessary. To refill the caulking gun, the user unscrews the gun cap, sets the follow-plate into the open pail of gel, presses the open end of the caulking gun over the metal tube on the follow-plate and draws the plunger upwards to fill the gun.

Xora

www.xora.com

Xora GPS TimeTrack is a mobile application that runs on GPS-enabled phones and tablets combined with a secure, cloud hosted management application. It turns a mobile device into a productivity tool for employees and gives managers visibility into the locations and activities of employees in the field, the company says.

Insects Limited

www.insectslimited.com

Insects Limited and Fumigation Service & Supply have developed the F.A.S.T system to capture and destroy fumigant gases such as methyl bromide (Q-Gas), sulfuryl fluoride (ProFume gas fumigant) and methyl iodide, which might otherwise be released into the atmosphere. Uses for this system include, but are not limited to, pallets, export quarantine logs, ISPM-15 shipping containers, trailers, fumigation chambers, flour mills and grain bins, the company says.

The F.A.S.T system is designed to draw out and break down fumigant gases from the fumigated area by forcing contact of the gas through a specially designed filter head. The fumigant is agitated through a liquid solution causing a complete chemical breakdown of the fumigant gas into liquid and other non-hazardous by-products. Speed of the system can be increased or decreased to fit proper abatement requirements.

The multi-fumigant scrubbing systems was recently installed at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport to scrub fumigants used on cut flowers and vegetables coming into the country under USDA quarantine inspection. Using non-carbon-based scrubbing material, the patented technique can destroy multiple fumigants on site, and the durable and easily operated design allows an accelerated and convenient process for removing fumigants, the company says.

Bird-B-Gone

www.birdbgone.com

Bird-B-Gone has added two new products, the Repeller 360°, a physical bird deterrent that rotates in the wind to deter large birds from landing in unwanted areas such as boats, docks, signs, rooftops and air-conditioning units, and the Super Talon Ultra, a heavy-duty hand held net launcher used to capture birds for later release.

Covering a 6-foot diameter, the Repeller 360° features reflective “predator eyes” to confuse and scare birds from coming near the protected area. The arms work to “sweep” birds off surfaces, while the reflective predator eyes create a visual scare zone that birds will want to avoid, the company says. The unit has optional mounting bases and can be mounted to railings, masts, bimini and canvas covers, flat surfaces and more. A locking pin in the base holds the Repeller 360° in high winds. It is made of durable materials meant for prolonged exposure to saltwater and sunlight. The anodized aluminum arms and U.V. protected body are meant for outdoor use.

The Super Talon Ultra net launcher is powered with CO2 cartridges and shoots out up to 60 feet. It can be re-used and comes with all components needed for use, including 10 CO2 cartridges, firing handle, two launchers and a lockable foam-lined aluminum case. The Super Talon Ultra net comes in a 2-inch mesh and is lightweight, easy to use, and effective for both birds and wildlife, the company says.

Archetype

www.floodbuzzpro.com

Archetype, a N.J.-based manufacturer/distributor, has launched the Flood Buzz Pro, described by the company as “an easy-to-use, to-the-trade-only, very low-cost, patent-pending, loud and effective water leak alarm designed to alert you of the presence of water leaks and moisture.” Because moisture attracts pests, the Flood BuzzPro provides pest control professionals with a tool that can be left behind at a customer’s location. When the product sounds its alarm, customers will know that they have a potential pest problem due to excess moisture and can call to remediate the problem.

When placed near potential water leak and moisture-prone locations, it will sound an up to 110 dB alert to when water touches the two prongs on the bottom of the product. With an internal battery, that has a life of up to three years, it can be placed in remote and hidden spots to monitor for leaks. The product is designed to feature your company’s name and corporate color with a minimum order of 10,000 units.
