The new All Beetle Trap from Insects Limited is the latest addition to a line of pheromone traps for the stored product industry. Tested for two years by Technical Director Alain VanRyckeghem, the trap consists of a clear-view lid for easy inspection, a sturdy polypropylene base with multi-textured sides that allows beetles of all types access into the pitfall trap area and a removable tray that is easily replaced when filled with beetles or when new attractant is needed. It is low profile, easier to service, more effective and attracts more species, the company said. The trap captures red and confused flour beetles, warehouse beetles, khapra beetles, cigarette beetles, rice weevils, and saw-toothed and merchant grain beetles.

Also available is the All Beetle Trap Kit with Pheromone Gel Attractant with 10 All Beetle traps and 10 PantryPatrol Pheromone Gel packets.

Rockwell Labs

Rockwell Labs’ InVict Xpress Granular Bait is now registered and available for purchase in California. Both potent and versatile, InVict Xpress combines the power of imidacloprid with a bait matrix that is irresistible to a wide range of pests, the company said. InVict Xpress provides fast kill of insects including ants, cockroaches, crickets, mole crickets, silverfish, firebrats and earwigs. According to the company, its potency and low-use rate make it a particularly valuable tool for PMPs battling mega colony forming ants such as Argentine and odorous house ants. PMPs also will appreciate the fast kill of crickets and roaches, combined with its low toxicity to non-target animals, Rockwell Labs says. InVict Xpress application sites include but are not limited to residential, commercial, indoors, outdoors, turf and ornamental (residential and recreational), golf courses, sewers, transport vehicles and many more. It is labeled for indoor (including food areas), outdoor and turf use at a rate of 4 to 8 ounces per 1,000 square feet.

Control Solutions

Control Solutions has launched Pivot Ultra for the pest control market. Pivot Ultra is a quick knockdown insecticide with an insect growth regulator to break the pests’ life cycle, Control Solutions reports. Pivot Ultra kills adult fleas and prevents flea infestations for up to seven months. According to the company, even if adult fleas are re-introduced into a treated area, a population will not develop. The product is available in an inverted aerosol that sprays upside down. A 20-ounce can treats up to 2,625 square feet of carpet, floors and furniture; it kills fleas, ticks, ants, roaches, spiders and other listed insects. Pivot Ultra is for indoor use.

Termatrac

Termatrac recently released a new T3i product — the T3i-Radar Only — designed to detect drywood termites. The radar-only model is a slimmed-down version of the existing T3i product, which contains three sensors to help target termites through radar, thermal and moisture. Since drywood termites are only detected by their movement via the Termatrac radar, the company said, T3i-Radar Only has been created to benefit PMPs who specialize in finding and treating drywood termites.

T3i-Radar Only was designed as a streamlined, lower-cost tool that focuses only on radar detection for pest controllers who may not need all the features of the original T3i, the firm says.

Bird-B-Gone

www.birdbgone.com
Bird-B-Gone offers a bird hazing system that unites a number of features in an easy-to-use pest bird-repellent system that, according to the company, is affordable, effective and humane.

Bird-B-Gone’s bird hazing system deploys a light haze of EcoBird 4.0, an indoor/outdoor bird repellent made with methyl anthranilate, a non-toxic, EPA-approved food-grade ingredient. The active ingredient irritates birds’ mucous membranes. When pest birds fly through the fine haze, they find the sensation unpleasant and will subsequently avoid the area. The effect is temporary and will not harm the birds, the firm says.

The product features a 1-liter tank at each drop location. The deployed haze has a particle size of less than 1 micron, so it stays airborne longer, and the multi-head unit provides wide coverage. Each main unit controls up to six satellite units for full perimeter coverage of an area. The plug-n-play unit is simple to install and operate, the firm said, with setup consultation, support and an installation video supplied with every unit.
