For the twenty-second consecutive year, PCT magazine and Syngenta Professional Products honored the industry’s finest at the Crown Leadership Awards. This year’s ceremony, held in conjunction with NPMA PestWorld in Honolulu, Hawaii, featured a cross-section of individuals representing distribution, academia and business. The awards annually spotlight individuals who have contributed positively to the growth and development of the structural pest control industry, as well as made a difference in their local communities. Winners are nominated by their peers and the winners are profiled in a special 13th edition of PCT magazine, which is distributed at NPMA PestWorld and mailed to more than 20,000 pest management professionals throughout North America.
Howard Jaekle, market manager, professional pest management, Syngenta Professional Products, told attendees that while Syngenta has gone through numerous changes over the years, one thing that hasn’t changed is its commitment to the industry and the Crown Leadership Awards. "We’re very proud to be part of this industry," he said. "We’re very proud to have the opportunity to recognize the 2010 Crown Award winners."
Syngenta is also committed to adding value to the pest control industry by regularly introducing innovative technology that enables PMPs to enhance their bottom line, he said. "Our commitment is to do things that will add some additional revenue into this business," Jaekle said. "And add value to your customers, which at the end of the day, if we’re all doing that, what ends up happening is everybody’s profitability improves."
"PCT takes great pride in recognizing outstanding achievement in the pest management industry, and the Crown Leadership Awards are an extension of the pride we feel," said Dan Moreland, publisher of PCT magazine. "This year’s class, like all of those industry professionals who have come before them, represent a legacy of personal excellence and market commitment that honors the past winners of this prestigious award."
