Dolds a Success in More Ways Than One
I think Dan Moreland did a great job on some well deserved recognition on the election of Bob Dold to the U.S. Congress ("Election 2010: Dold family remains true to its values," View Point, November 2010, page 10). Dold is an extremely bright young man and I’m confident he will do a great job serving the people in Illinois.
I also commend you for giving Bob and Judy Dold some well deserved recognition. I have known them both for many years and they have been a credit to our industry. As parents, I know they are very proud of their son and, be assured, I am proud that I made a contribution to his successful campaign.

More Dold Kudos
Thanks for writing such a great and inspiring article covering Bob Dold. It was very refreshing to see a politician stick to his values.

I Know Now
What a great article in the December 2010 issue ("You Don‘t Know? Five things you don‘t know about the bed bug epidemic," page 104). I want everyone in our company to read it. But not that I am shocked by a great article from PCT…PCT is always fabulous reading and very targeted to what is going on in the industry.

Not Retiring
Yet Either
I thoroughly enjoyed Brad Harbison’s October article about Milt Phelps ("PCO Phelps Still Solving Pest Problems at Age 85," page 118). Since I am 70 and sole owner and technician of a South Haven, Mich., company, his continued activity is an inspiration to me — and probably to any older business owner. Thank you for your well-written article.
Is it possible that you could let Milt know that I would like to correspond with him this winter while business is slowest? One thing I intend to ask him is for a copy of the picture PCT ran in the magazine. I would hang it on the office wall as an answer to those who want to know when I am retiring.
Again, thanks for the inspiring article.

More Respect for Phelps
There must be a lot of baby boomers in pest control. I can certainly relate to Mr. Phelps, and after reading John Faulkner’s letter ("Great respect for our elders," Back Talk, page 10, December 2010) I wanted to thank PCT for doing a great job. I am 63 years old and still running my one-man company. I enjoy the day-to-day challenges and the variety. After all, no one makes a TV show about accountants.
